Announcement of Chinese Government Scholarship Program 2023

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities received a notice to introduce 10 candidates to study in China under the 2023 Chinese Government Scholarship Program, specifically as follows:

1. Application conditions

1.1. Not a citizen of the People's Republic of China, in good health.
1.2. Are or were students, trainees, or staff of the School.
1.3. Age, education and language requirements:
  • Applicants for undergraduate scholarships must be under 25 years old and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or higher.
  • Candidates for Master's scholarships must be under 35 years old, have a university degree or equivalent, and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or higher.
  • Candidates for PhD scholarships must be under 40 years old, have a Master's degree or equivalent, and have an overall average of 2.50 or higher.
  • Applicants for short-term study and research scholarships (study and research duration lasts from 1-2 years, after completion of the course, a certificate will be issued certifying the study period in China), must not be over 45 years old for undergraduate or graduate students and not over 50 years old for applicants with a master's degree or higher.
1.4. Language requirements:
  • Applicants for undergraduate scholarships or short-term study and research programs in majors using Chinese as the language of instruction and study are required to have Chinese proficiency equivalent to HSK 3 or higher.
  • Applicants for postgraduate scholarships with majors using Chinese as the language of instruction and learning are required to have Chinese proficiency equivalent to HSK4 or above.
1.5. Other requirements
Applicants must also meet the academic, language and other relevant requirements of the University they choose to study at after receiving the scholarship.

2. Application documents:

2.1. Application form for Chinese Government Scholarship in Chinese or English.
2.2. Copy of the first page of the applicant's passport. Passport must be valid until at least March 1, 2024. Applicants must apply for a new passport if their current passport does not meet the requirements. In case the passport cannot be submitted on time due to objective reasons, applicants can submit documents containing information about the applicant's "English name, gender, nationality, date of birth" if permitted by the unit responsible for receiving the application.
2.3. Notarized highest degree certificate. For applicants who are students of the school, they can submit the school's student certificate and provisional graduation certificate (for final year students). Documents in languages ​​other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
2.4. Transcripts: Transcripts in languages ​​other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations.
2.5. Proof of language proficiency. For applicants who choose Chinese as the language of instruction and study in China, they must provide HSK Certificate or equivalent proficiency certificate as required. For applicants who choose a language other than Chinese as the language of instruction and study in China, they must provide corresponding language proficiency certificates, such as IELTS or TOEFL, based on the language proficiency requirements of the school the applicant chooses to study in China.
2.6. Admission Notice. Applicants for Postgraduate Scholarships or Short-term Study and Research Programs may attach an official or preparatory Admission Notice from the University they choose to study in China or an Acceptance Letter from their Chinese supervisor. (Applications with the above documents will be given priority when considering the Chinese Government Scholarship)
2.7. Study plan or Research outline in Chinese or English (Minimum 200 words for undergraduate applicants; Minimum 500 words for short-term study and research applicants; Minimum 800 words for postgraduate applicants). The study plan or Research outline must be attached with a Vietnamese translation.
2.8. Letters of recommendation: 02 letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from referees with academic titles of associate professor or higher.
2.9. Candidates applying for majors in art, design, etc. must submit their personal works (such as sculptures, paintings, etc.), and at the same time, based on the requirements of the school the candidate chooses to study in China, submit them in other forms.
2.10. For training programs with a study period of more than 06 months in China, applicants must submit a copy of the “外国人体格检查表” (Health Examination Form for Foreigners), the original of which is kept by the applicant (This form is issued according to the form prescribed by the Quarantine Department of the Ministry of Health of China, and the information must be filled in in English). Applicants need to conduct a health examination based on the contents listed in the “Health Examination Form for Foreigners”. For “Health Examination Form for Foreigners” that lacks content, does not have the applicant’s photo attached, or the photo does not have the hospital’s seal, does not have the doctor’s signature, or does not have the hospital’s seal, all will be considered invalid. The health examination results are valid within 06 months from the date the applicant undergoes the health examination. Applicants should download the “Health Examination Form for Foreigners” from the websitehttp://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchinaorwww.campuschina.org).
2.11. Criminal record No. 01 issued by a competent authority in Vietnam and still in effect. Criminal records in languages ​​other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by a notarized translation in Chinese or English.
2.12. Other documents: Certificates of merit, Certificates of merit, Certificates of participation in social activities, research topics, research articles published in specialized journals... If the above documents are in languages ​​other than Chinese or English, they must be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English.

3. Instructions for the application process on the Chinese Government Scholarship Study Abroad Information Management System

1. Step 1: Go to the website:http://www.campuschina.org, select “学生注册”(Candidate registration), register 01 account for candidate use. After successful registration, use the newly created account to log in to the system.
2. Step 2: Log in to “个人资料” (Personal Documents), select “编辑个人资料” (Edit Personal Documents) to start uploading personal documents according to the instructions, and select “验证保存” (Save). After completing the upload of personal documents, select “完成” (Complete), then return to the above interface to continue filling in the personal scholarship application information. Applicants should fill in the scholarship application information after completing the upload of personal documents to the website.
3. Step 3: Select the correct “留学项目种类” (Type of study abroad). Please select “A类”. (Type A: Scholarship selected by the Chinese Embassy)
4. Step 4: Fill in exactly 7042 in the “受理机构编号” (Application processing unit code) section.
The type of study abroad (留学项目种类) and the application processing agency code (受理机构编号) are closely related. They are both mandatory contents in the “Chinese Government Scholarship Study Abroad Information Management System”. After the applicant fills in the information correctly, the system will automatically display the name of the application processing agency corresponding to the code. Because the “Type of Study Abroad” (留学项目种类) item has a corresponding relationship with the “Application Processing Agency Code” (Application Processing Agency Code), if the applicant fills in the information incorrectly, the application processing agency will not be able to receive the information the applicant registered on the system.
5. Step 5: Fill in “申请信息” (Scholarship application information)
After completing the above steps, the applicant logs in to “语言能力及学习计划” (Language Ability and Study Plan) and uploads “补充材料” (Supplementary Documents). Finally, select “提交” (Submit) to complete the online registration.
Before submitting an online application, candidates must carefully check the information content in each section and the supporting documents to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of the documents to be submitted. When candidates choose to apply for a type A scholarship to write a study plan, the system will search for training units with suitable enrollment conditions based on the content the candidate chooses in the "Type of student and language of instruction" section. Candidates will choose the "School to study" and the corresponding "Major" of that School. 6. Step 6: Once the application is submitted, the applicant will not be able to edit the “个人资料” (Personal Documents) and “申请信息” (Scholarship Application Information). Before the application is processed, the applicant can select “撤销” (Cancel) to cancel the submitted documents and make edits. After the documents are canceled, the applicant must edit and resubmit, otherwise the system will not be able to process the applicant’s application. Once the Scholarship Application is processed, the applicant will not be able to withdraw the application.
7. Step 7: Click on “打印申请” (Print Application Form) to download the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form.
8. Step 8: Candidates need to send the soft file of the 2023 Chinese Government Scholarship Application to email:nguyenth@ussh.edu.vn, and submit a paper copy of the 2023 Chinese Government Scholarship Application to the Cooperation and Development Office, Room 404, Building E, before 5:00 p.m. on January 13, 2023.
