On July 19, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi had a working session with a delegation from Taichung University of Technology (Taiwan, China), to continue promoting and expanding cooperation between the two sides.
At the meeting, the two sides reviewed the positive cooperation results in the past time and agreed to continue expanding cooperation in many fields, especially in training and organizing Vietnamese language proficiency tests for students in Taiwan.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed its goodwill to provide maximum support in terms of expertise and procedures to help Taichung University of Technology effectively implement Vietnamese language teaching and testing activities.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and Prof. Dr. Cheng Chun-Mei (Director of the Language Center, Taichung University of Technology) discussed cooperation contents.
Taichung University of Technology also shared its hope to successfully organize standardized exams, creating conditions for Taiwanese students to access scholarships and certificates to serve their career goals.
The two sides agreed on a number of specific cooperation directions in the coming time, including:
- Organize a seminar on Vietnamese language teaching between the two schools
- Conduct joint research in the field of linguistics and Vietnamese language
- Coordinate the development of documents and regulations in accordance with the laws and policies of Vietnam and Taiwan to organize Vietnamese proficiency tests in a systematic and effective manner.
The meeting opened up many prospects for practical and sustainable cooperation between the two educational institutions in the context of the increasing demand for learning Vietnamese in Taiwan.
