University of Social Sciences and Humanities collaborates on policy research in Europe

The two sides proposed options for scientific exchange as well as joint research support on issues of concern.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Vice Rector of the school, along with representatives of the Faculty of International Studies, had a meeting to discuss expertise and cooperation opportunities with experts from the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) on June 27, 2024.
The guests included Mr. Timo Rinke - Chief Representative of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Vietnam; Dr. Sidonie Wetzig - European Office (EU) and Dr. Stefania Benaglia - Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS).
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan welcomed representatives of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, as well as experts who visited and worked at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Accordingly, the two sides exchanged their wishes and directions for future cooperation, affirming their experience and expertise in implementing cooperation projects between the university and international research institutes and organizations.
 
 
European experts and lecturers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also discussed the common concerns of Vietnam and the EU regarding the security and political situation in the Asia-Pacific region, the challenges to the process of strengthening the integration of the European Union in the current context, and the prospects for cooperation between Vietnam and the EU.
European experts shared an optimistic view on the EU's future integration and development process and expected that the Vietnam-EU cooperation relationship will achieve many achievements in many fields.
Sharing his joy at visiting and working at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Mr. Timo Rinke - Chief Representative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Vietnam, hoped that the two sides would soon have more specific exchanges in policy research and related issues in the field of social sciences and humanities. The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung proposed options for exchanging scientists as well as supporting joint research between the two sides.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung have developed a cooperative relationship since 2020 through the joint implementation of a number of studies and the organization of international scientific conferences.
