The ceremony was chaired by Dr. Vu Trong Que - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Nam Dinh province and Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Head of the mission Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc and members of the board of directors, Heads of departments and leaders of both sides.
Under the auspices of the cooperative relationship between the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province and the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the Nam Dinh Geographical Map was signed a contract between the Department of Science and Technology of Nam Dinh province and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with an implementation period of 24 months from May 2023 to May 2025.
After the Nam Dinh Geographical Chronicle manuscript was completed, the Nam Dinh Department of Science and Technology organized completion activities through a scientific workshop to solicit comments on the product from 14 experts and managers (November 2024), a scientific workshop to solicit comments on the product of the Nam Dinh Geographical Chronicle compilation task from 30 departments, localities and experts (January 2025), solicit comments from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee (March 2005), 5 professional acceptance councils for the product of the task for each book (April 2025), and 1 provincial acceptance council (May 2025).
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Head of the task, on behalf of the authors, presented an overview of the compilation process of the Nam Dinh Gazetteer, emphasizing the deliverables of the task. The Nam Dinh Gazetteer is the work of a group of nearly 100 authors inside and outside the Hanoi National University and a number of local authors, including 35 chapters, 1,024 Gazetteer entries, if including 40 converted entries of the two chapters of Introduction and Conclusion, the total number is 1,064 entries (exceeding 6.4%) with 3,961 pages (exceeding 32%). Specifically:
- Volume One: Geography includes 6 chapters, 160/160 sections and 616 pages edited by Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Van Bao (University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
- Volume Two: History - Politics includes 7 chapters, 220/220 sections and 928 pages edited by Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Quan (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
- Volume Three: Economics - Society includes 8 chapters, 215/212 sections and 820 pages edited by Professor, Dr. Truong Quang Hai (Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
- Volume Four: Culture - Education includes 8 chapters, 226/217 sections and 769 pages edited by Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hong Son (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
- Volume Five: Character History includes 6 chapters, 203/190 sections and 828 pages edited by Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Along with the standard, high-quality printed set are 5 WORD files and 5 PDF files of the 5-volume manuscript, 1 set of Nam Dinh Geographical Database, 1 set of Nam Dinh Geographical Map, 1 printed copy of the Rules for compiling the Nam Dinh Geographical Set.

At the handover ceremony, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Nam Dinh province, Dr. Vu Trong Que affirmed: the task was completed on time and with full products compared to the contract. The Department of Science and Technology of Nam Dinh highly appreciated the efforts of the University and the research team during the implementation of the task. In particular, the Director of the Department emphasized that the scientific results of the product Nam Dinh Geographical Record contributed significantly to preserving the traditional and modern values of the province in a current time slice before Nam Dinh entered a new era of development. Thereby, Dr. Vu Trong Que also expressed his trust and desire to cooperate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to carry out scientific and technological tasks in the coming time.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, expressed his desire to continue cooperating with the Department to fulfill the University's mission of serving society.
