VNU-USSH organizes student scientific research conference for the 2024-2025 academic year.

On June 14, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held its university-level student scientific conference. The conference is an annual academic activity for the university's students and is also one of the practical activities leading up to the celebration of the 80th anniversary and 30th anniversary of the founding of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi), leaders of functional departments; faculty leaders and instructors from training units, along with a large number of students and authors of research projects.
 
 
 
 

In her opening remarks at the conference, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong shared: "In recent years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has focused on increasing investment in scientific research and innovation, including student research. The university has implemented many policies, including a policy of prioritizing investment in student scientific works with publications in domestic and international journals. Accordingly, students with high-quality research projects are not only rewarded and given bonus points in their training scores, but also receive investment from the university at a rate of 10 million VND per project with domestic publications and 20 million VND per project with international publications."

Through scientific research activities, students have honed their professional knowledge, developed critical thinking and scientific research methods, and acquired many useful skills: teamwork, problem-solving, and teamwork.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, student scientific research attracted a large number of students, nearly 1000, with almost 550 projects, including 27 projects proposed for priority consideration in the second round.
The scientific research projects demonstrate that students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities not only possess a passion for discovering new scientific knowledge, a deep understanding across many fields, and a serious spirit, but also have mastered scientific research methods and closely linked scientific research with contributing to solving practical problems: economic and cultural development, environmental protection, sustainable development, etc. Among the projects participating in the University-level Student Scientific Conference in the 2024-2025 academic year, some studies were conducted and presented in English, showing their ability to work with international documents, their proficiency in foreign languages, and their approach to research and international publication.
The success of the 2024-2025 Student Scientific Research Conference is not only measured by the number of awards received, the research projects that will receive significant investment and continue to participate in higher-level scientific awards, but more importantly, by continuing to ignite and inspire scientific research in the younger generation in the field of social sciences and humanities, cultivating knowledge and skills to help them confidently enter the labor market immediately after graduation.
 
         
   
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

At the conclusion of the conference, the School's Board of Directors awarded certificates of merit and prizes to 20 projects that won first prize, 53 projects that won second prize, and 20 projects that won third prize. The research projects were highly appreciated by the judging panel for their meticulousness, seriousness, scientific rigor, and high applicability.
 
 
 

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second, and third prizes to the groups with outstanding achievements in student scientific research: Faculty of Psychology (first prize), Faculty of International Studies (second prize), Faculty of Oriental Studies and Political Science (third prize).
 
 
On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also honored 06 collectives and individuals with outstanding projects at the Green Torch Student Scientific Research Conference, who will participate in the university-level student scientific conference.
