The meeting was attended by members of the Advisory Council for drafting training program standards in the humanities field at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including scientists and lecturers from the Ministry of Education and Training; the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and Humanities; Hanoi Pedagogical University; the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; Danko Group Joint Stock Company; Can Tho University; Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and the Academy of Journalism and Communication.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, chaired the meeting.
Accordingly, the drafting committee reported on the contents of the Draft Curriculum Standards for the Humanities field, based on the content of Circular 17 of the Minister of Education and Training.
The Humanities field encompasses many disciplines with relatively different characteristics, making it difficult to develop detailed curriculum standards. Since July 2025, the expert committee has been collecting, reviewing, and analyzing documents describing the services, activities, and work of the training programs; and collecting, compiling, and reviewing Vietnamese legal documents related to the training programs. The expert committee has developed a survey questionnaire and conducted surveys on curriculum learning outcomes and job groups within the disciplines; and has drafted curriculum standards for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in the Humanities.
Dr. Ngo Dang Toan - University of Social Sciences and Humanities - representing the expert panel, presented a summary of the draft report.
During the meeting, scientists and experts contributed ideas on adjusting several criteria such as: learning outcomes, learning and research workload, curriculum structure and content, and faculty quality… in order to finalize the Draft Curriculum Standards.

The expert committee and the secretariat have compiled and incorporated feedback from scientists and lecturers to revise and finalize the draft.
As a leading training and research center in the country in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has been assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training the task of organizing the development of training program standards for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in the field of Humanities (Vietnamese Language, Literature and Culture group and Other groups).
The contents of these Curriculum Standards will be issued and applied by the Ministry of Education and Training in the development of training programs at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels in the humanities (Vietnamese Language, Literature and Culture group and Other groups) nationwide.
