The Vietnam National University, Hanoi's exhibition booth focuses on strategic, leading-edge technology products. The semiconductor technology group showcases thermal imaging chips for security camera systems and dual-use applications, computing chips/microprocessors, and specialized sensor lines. The robotics and automation group displays robots for rescue and firefighting support, and the BLife visual communication device – protected by five patents in Vietnam and the United States and transferred to several hospitals nationwide. The AI and big data group demonstrates software applications in clinical medicine aimed at shortening treatment times and reducing costs; alongside this are achievements in biotechnology, smart agriculture, advanced materials, sustainable development (recovering precious metals from waste), and Earth science forecasting platforms (landslide prediction, seasonal forecasting). These exhibits reflect the research and innovation ecosystem that VNU is strongly promoting in accordance with Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation and Resolution 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of education and training. General Secretary To Lam suggested that Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) continue to affirm its position as a multidisciplinary university center, a center for elite training, and the origin of many high-quality, advanced, and internationally standardized programs; while also being a pioneering force in implementing major policies on education, science & technology, and innovation, directly contributing to the sustainable development and international integration of the country.
Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, Member of the Political Bureau and Standing Deputy Prime Minister; Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Member of the Political Bureau and Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, took a commemorative photo with the Board of Directors and leaders of member and affiliated units, and scientists of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Simultaneously, at the Nguyen Van Dao Hall and at various locations within the member and affiliated units of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, more than 2,900 Party members attended the National Conference to thoroughly understand and implement the four Resolutions of the Politburo. The conference focused on studying and thoroughly understanding four important resolutions: Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation; Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW on ensuring national energy security until 2030, with a vision to 2045; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development; and Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW on some breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care, and improvement of people's health. The timely dissemination of these resolutions is of great significance, helping cadres and Party members of Vietnam National University, Hanoi to grasp the Central Committee's viewpoints and orientations, thereby concretizing them into the action programs of each unit. This was a broad and in-depth political activity, contributing to raising awareness, fostering a sense of responsibility, and strengthening political determination throughout the Party Committee. Among the resolutions implemented, Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development is directly relevant to the mission of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). In line with the spirit of this resolution, the VNU Party Committee will continue to play a pioneering role in fundamental and comprehensive reform of higher education, international integration, linking training with research and knowledge transfer, and contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the country. Many lecturers at Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) expressed particular interest in Resolution 71 because it is directly related to their teaching and research work. The resolution clearly outlines the direction for comprehensive educational reform, in line with the mission of training high-quality human resources and nurturing talent. Many lecturers affirmed that they would concretize the spirit of the resolution through practical actions: innovating teaching methods, linking lectures to practice, proactively updating new knowledge, actively participating in scientific research, and inspiring students to learn and be creative. Professor Nguyen Quy Thanh, Rector of the University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, said he was deeply impressed by the scale of the conference, which was held in the Dien Hong Hall of the National Assembly and connected online to thousands of locations. He emphasized that this demonstrated the special attention and close guidance from the highest leaders of the Party and State. Directly communicating policies and guidelines from the highest-level leaders will help the entire Party and people understand and implement them correctly. According to Professor Thanh, although these resolutions address many different fields, there is overlap, especially between Resolutions 57, 71, and 72. For example, Resolution 71 affirms that "universities are centers of innovation," which is closely linked to the orientation of Resolution 57 on the development of science, technology, and innovation. As a member institution of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the University of Education will conduct in-depth research on directly related issues such as governance structure, university autonomy, and university finance, while closely following the Government's action plan for effective implementation. Associate Professor Nguyen Van Dinh, Vice Rector of the International School, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, believes that Resolution 71 more clearly affirms the role and responsibility of the State in caring for the people in both education and healthcare. For universities, the resolution considers academic autonomy as core, while the State continues to prioritize investment in high-quality higher education institutions – a very appropriate direction. He also frankly acknowledged some challenges in the governance structure, especially the operation of the university council. According to Associate Professor Dinh, the resolution will create a legal framework to remove bottlenecks and needs to be concretized into laws and policies soon to quickly come into effect. He expressed his hope that the State will increase investment in education, especially in fundamental fields, thereby building a solid foundation for sustainable development; and affirmed that to create the pinnacle and excellence of national education, the leading role must still belong to the State. Participating in the study and dissemination of the resolution, even online, was considered by many officials and Party members of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) as a valuable opportunity to grasp the spirit and guidelines of the Party and to unify actions. The VNU Party Committee directed subordinate Party committees to develop specific action plans, tailored to the characteristics of each unit. The spirit of studying and implementing the resolution will continue to spread widely, creating high unity of will and action throughout the entire political system of VNU, contributing to the successful fulfillment of political tasks in the new period.
