The reports presented by the students at the seminar explored pressing social issues in South Korea.
At the seminar, speakers and students discussed South Korean social issues from multiple perspectives, such as: “Understanding the green model at Seoul National University and lessons for Ha Long University” by student Tran Thi Thu Hien (Ha Long University); “Physical violence among South Korean high school students - The case of the film The Glory” by student Nguyen Nhu Phuc (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi); “The reality of social stratification and inequality in South Korea reflected in the film “Parasite” by student Dang Thi Bich Dao (Thai Nguyen University of Science); “South Korea - a society that values education and its consequences seen from the documentary “The Betrayal of Learning”” by students Ha Van Duc and Nguyen Thi Hoang Lan (Thai Nguyen University of Science).
The reports explored pressing social issues in South Korea such as school violence, social inequality, and the problem of excessive emphasis on education. Notably, the reports shared a common approach to researching these issues through the analysis of specific Korean films. This is because films are a powerful tool for reflecting and visualizing social issues in a profound and vivid way, and Korean films, in particular, place a high emphasis on realism.

From another perspective, drawing from discussions on the Korean economy, the presentations at the seminar also proposed many lessons for Vietnam, with topics such as: "The spirit of self-reliance in the Saemaul movement of Korea and lessons for Vietnam" by students Nguyen Thi Hien, Vu Hoang Yen, and Nguyen Hoang Thien Vu (Ha Long University); "Korean investment in Thai Nguyen province in the period 2020-2023" by students Vu Thi Thuy Ngoc and Duong Thi Ninh (Thai Nguyen University of Science); and "Understanding the development of smart tourism in Seoul (2016-2019)" by student Pham Minh Son (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
The reports were both up-to-date and highly applicable due to the suggestions and recommendations for Vietnam. The students approached the issue from multiple perspectives and made significant efforts in searching, compiling, and analyzing reference data.
