In the current context, knowledge is a key factor in the growth of organizations and nations. One of the conditions for organizations and nations to thrive in the digital age is prioritizing knowledge management, innovation, and leading change to achieve common goals. The ICKM2024 conference provided a scientific platform for scholars, experts, leaders, and individuals to engage in dialogue and share insights on the theoretical and practical aspects of knowledge management both domestically and internationally.

The workshop brought together nearly 100 experts, researchers, lecturers, information science professionals, and those working in related fields from both within and outside the country. The delegates shared ideas, experiences, and proposals on knowledge management, thereby contributing to improved understanding and promoting practical activities, research, and teaching in Information Management.
The conference selected 38 high-quality papers for publication in the proceedings. These are divided into three main sections: knowledge management in libraries and information centers; knowledge management in educational institutions; and knowledge management in government agencies and businesses. This is an important and high-quality reference material for teaching, learning, and research in the field of information and knowledge management.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Hung (Head of the Department of Information and Library Science, VNU-USSH) presented the opening paper at the ICKM2024 Conference.
Associate Professor Dr. Do Van Hung, on behalf of the research group, presented the opening paper for the conference on the topic "Applications of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Libraries and Response Strategies". The paper focused on analyzing the information and technology landscape driving innovation in information management, introduced artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in the library and information field, and proposed response strategies for proactively and effectively utilizing AI, including proposals for training human resources with generative AI capabilities.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Huyen, Head of the Department of Library and Information Science, presented a paper at the ICKM2024 Conference.
Associate Professor Dr. Ngo Thi Huyen presented an overview of knowledge management in Vietnam through her paper "Innovation in Knowledge Management in Vietnam". The research revealed that innovation in knowledge management is not yet comprehensive in higher education institutions, hospitals, and banks, while also identifying new drivers and directions in knowledge management within these organizations.
Mr. Rajen Munoo – Director of the Library Leadership Program for the Asia-Pacific region – presented a paper at the ICKM2024 Conference.
The workshop was also attended by international experts and scientists from Singapore and Malaysia. These international scientists shared practical experiences on knowledge management, human resource training, and knowledge management policy development in developed and developing countries, drawing valuable lessons for Vietnam.
The ICKM2024 conference once again affirmed the correctness and effectiveness of the One USSH cooperation strategy between the two universities of social sciences and humanities. Both sides committed to continuing to implement the ICKM conference in the coming years, making ICKM an annual international conference on Information Management and Information-Library Studies in Vietnam.
