University of Social Sciences and Humanities Conference on implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP of the Government
In his opening speech and orientation of the Conference's content, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities affirmed that the key resolutions of the Politburo in recent times have had a strong impact on the school's activities, especially Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation and Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP of the Government on promulgating the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. In the new context, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, needs to act immediately and catch up quickly to take advantage of opportunities to serve the sustainable development of the school.

In the Special Report on Science and Technology, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University emphasized that the strategy and targets for the development of Science and Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities determined: Science and Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation are the decisive factors, prerequisites, and the best opportunities for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to develop into a smart research university, develop a team of excellent leading scientists, and affirm the position of Science and Humanities in the cause of national development.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the school presented a topic on science and technology.
The conference listened to the discussion opinions of the leaders of functional units and thoroughly grasped 09 important contents. In which, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan affirmed that science and technology is the breakthrough spearhead in the context of the University continuing to affirm the model of a smart, creative and national research university. The Party, State and Government have issued many breakthrough policies on science and technology and education and training, increasing investment in resources and mechanisms for higher education institutions. Party secretaries and heads of units need to thoroughly grasp this spirit to promote science and technology activities at the unit in the coming time.
The School's scientific staff is the key driving force. Staff need to be trained, updated with methods, and supported to promote their professional capacity; harmonize individual in-depth research with national scientific programs in the context of the country entering a new era of development. The School advocates continuing to attract outstanding scientists, especially international scientists, to work at the School; invest in developing key research groups; review and adjust criteria for assessing the level of completion of research tasks; and streamline professional activities to encourage competent staff to focus on key tasks.
Promote the attraction of investment resources for science and technology from the Central Government, Ministries, branches, localities and science and technology funds; effectively exploit strategic and potential international scientific partners; soon form a specialized focal point to attract resources for the school's science and technology activities.
Innovate management mechanisms, issue relevant documents to organize synchronous, tight and constructive scientific and technological activities, serving and creating the best conditions for scientists to develop their expertise.
Investing in upgrading technology infrastructure and digital transformation to create a modern foundation for research and training activities; providing tools to promote academic integrity; building a large scientific database to support the research work of the School's staff.
Increase the allocation of funds for science and technology activities from the School's revenue according to the plan of the Steering Committee for the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP of the Government (abbreviated as Steering Committee 6399). The Planning - Finance Department and the Science, Foreign Affairs & Journals Department review the budget allocation structure, propose to the Board of Directors a plan to restructure resources towards developing key, long-term, multi-product projects; prioritize the balance between in-depth scientific publications and practical policy advice for the Party, State and localities.
The school prioritizes the implementation of a number of key scientific tasks according to Resolution No. 253-NQ/DU dated August 4, 2025 of the School Party Committee.
Organize training and development programs for local officials in the context of operating two-level local governments, to demonstrate the mission of disseminating knowledge and creating national development.
In addition, the school approves scientific projects to support school staff in finding socialized resources.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Deputy Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training proposed developing an internal communication channel on policies for science and technology development and innovation.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu - Head of the Faculty of Political Science proposed a number of solutions to turn science and technology into a development resource for the school.
