On October 22, 2025, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) held the Closing Ceremony and presented the 2025 Student Scientific Research Awards - an event to honor the efforts, creativity and outstanding achievements of students in scientific research activities.
Vice President of VNU Pham Bao Son attended and spoke at the ceremony.
Also attending were representatives of leaders of member units, affiliated with VNU and students of training units who are authors of 58 typical scientific works.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Bao Son - Vice President of VNU emphasized: "Student scientific research is not only a movement but also a core part of the research university model, contributing to training high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of national innovation. Students are not only learners but also young researchers - the core force of innovation".
In 2025, from thousands of projects at the grassroots level, 58 typical projects were selected to participate in the VNU-Hanoi round, of which 48 best projects were assessed and comprehensively evaluated by the Professional Council on novelty, scientific nature and practical applicability.
Topics span many modern fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, robotics, semiconductors, green economy, law and socio-culture – reflecting the trend of multidisciplinary research, international integration and connection with practice.
Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu, Head of the Department of Science and Innovation of VNU, affirmed that the student scientific research movement is increasingly high-quality, substantial and widespread, contributing to nurturing a generation of young scientists with a spirit of learning, a desire for creativity and a will to serve society.
According to the Vice President of VNU, student scientific research is a core part of the research university model, contributing to training high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of national innovation.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 04 First Prizes, 08 Second Prizes, 12 Third Prizes, 03 Application Potential Prizes and 04 Excellent Poster Prizes. Along with that, the instructors of the winning projects will have their standard hours added to the teaching standards according to the current regulations of VNU on how to calculate and convert standard teaching hours for lecturers and enjoy benefits according to other regulations of the unit.
Students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities won 01 second prize and 02 third prizes.

The 2025 VNU Student Scientific Research Award is not only an opportunity to honor research efforts but also a source of inspiration for VNU students to continue their journey of conquering knowledge, creativity and dedication.
