Among the 13 Vietnamese scientists included in the world rankings, four are from Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On March 9th, Research.com updated its ranking of scientists with outstanding research publication achievements. Research.com ranks top scientists in research annually across 24 fields.

This year, 13 Vietnamese scientists working in the country were ranked in 7 fields: Computer Science, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Science, Materials Science, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Community Medicine, and Social Sciences and Humanities. This year's list includes 3 more scientists (compared to 10 in 2022) and expands the ranking fields. Among them, four scientists from Vietnam National University, Hanoi were honored, specifically:

Engineering and TechnologyContinuing the list is Professor Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. He is one of Vietnam's leading scientists in the field of Mechanics and Composite Materials. He has published over 300 scientific works, including 200 articles in prestigious international ISI journals. For four consecutive years (2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022), he has been ranked among the top 100,000 most influential scientists in the world. Three other foreign scientists from Ton Duc Thang University and Duy Tan University are also included in this ranking.

Computer Science fieldAssociate Professor Dr. Le Hoang Son from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is known as a talented young scientist with highly applied research works that have been well-received by technology companies both domestically and internationally. Many of these research projects have been applied in leading countries in science and technology such as the United States, Italy, and Germany.

Associate Professor Son has published over 180 works and articles in foreign journals listed in the ISI database. In this ranking, he is among the top 10,000 outstanding scientists in the world for four consecutive years (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), and was also awarded the "Rising Star" badge - an outstanding rising star in science worldwide in 2022.

Environmental ScienceProfessor Pham Hung Viet and Associate Professor Tu Binh Minh, both from the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, are among the faculty members. Professor Viet is currently the Director of the Key Laboratory of Analytical Technology for Environmental and Food Safety Testing and the leader of a strong research group. He has published over 100 papers and holds numerous patents.

Associate Professor Dr. Tu Binh Minh is a scientist in the field of chemistry. In just two years, 2019 and 2020, his research group published over 20 papers in prestigious international ISI-listed journals, many of which are in the top 5% in their respective fields. In 2022, Associate Professor Minh was also ranked among the world's most influential scientists.
