The workshop was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities); Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Chairman of the National Cultural Heritage Council, Deputy Secretary General, Head of the International Cooperation Department, Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences); Dr. Nguyen Thi Tham (Director of the Center for Korean and North Korean Studies, Northeast Asia Research Institute, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences); Dr. Le Thi Thu Giang (Head of the Faculty of Oriental Studies) along with lecturers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, experts in Korean Studies from universities such as CMC University, Thai Nguyen University of Science, Hai Phong University, etc. The workshop also attracted a large number of graduate students and students of the Department of Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies to attend.

The international scientific conference “New achievements in Korean studies research in Vietnam” was held in 3 sessions with diverse topics such as research achievements in history - diplomatic relations; research achievements in language - literature and issues of culture, education and economy.

The reports received special attention from managers, scholars, lecturers and students attending. The discussion session was lively with detailed and highly constructive comments and suggestions, helping to perfect the reports.

The workshop was conducted in a vibrant academic atmosphere.
After the discussion sessions, Dr. Luu Tuan Anh - Head of the Department of Korean Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, on behalf of the organizing committee, delivered the closing speech of the conference. Dr. Luu Tuan Anh emphasized that the conference was a great success, received many positive contributions from Korean studies experts and suggested new research directions on Korea in Vietnam.
