The event, chaired by the Professional Board of the Trade Union, received the attention and participation of Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities). Speaking at the seminar, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the creativity and flexibility in organizing activities related to expertise and scientific research. The school's trade union not only takes care of the material and spiritual life of union members but also determines professional development and enhances community service activities. This is a right direction and is highly appreciated by VNU. Currently, scientific research associated with international publications is always an issue of great concern to the school's staff. In 2022, the number of publications increased sharply, although it did not meet expectations, it was still a very remarkable result. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan would like to thank the teachers and speakers who have always accompanied and are willing to share valuable experiences in international publications to inspire, motivate, and passion for scientific research to the staff and lecturers of the school. Through these scientific seminars, staff not only gain more experience and promote international publication to standardize academic titles, but also improve their professional capacity in teaching and scientific research.

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the initiative of the school's Trade Union Executive Committee to organize professional activities.
Delegates attending the Seminar listened to the sharing from 04 speakers who have had many works and articles published in prestigious international scientific journals and publishing houses: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh (Faculty of Anthropology) with the report "
Research design towards international publication"single"; Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Long (Faculty of Tourism): "
Sharing research experience and publishing internationally"; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung (Faculty of Philosophy): "
Conducting scientific research projects at all levels associated with international publication"; Dr. Nguyen Thu Trang (Faculty of Sociology): "
Sharing experiences on international publication, approaches from qualitative research".
The scientists' reports mentioned very specific issues from choosing research problems, implementation methods, research methods, and presenting research results that meet international standards and practices so that they can be published in prestigious scientific journals and listed in the ISI/Scopus index.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh shared: "International publication is a new challenge, a mandatory requirement, scientific research associated with international publication becomes an important task of every scientific staff and lecturer of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. To pass the strict assessment of prestigious journals and publishing houses in the world, first of all, it is necessary to identify a new research problem, solving theoretical and practical problems; the arguments must be very tight and have convincing scientific evidence; scientific citations must also follow international practices,...".

In his report, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Hong Long also shared many experiences on how to find a list of journals suitable for his expertise and research field; find reference materials to ensure scientific and reliable sources, as well as the history of research on the issue; structure an article according to common practices, etc. Young researchers also need to determine not to be discouraged when being rejected by journals, because it may not be because the quality of the article is not good, but because the issue they are researching is not suitable for the topic of that journal, or the way of writing the introduction does not meet the regulations of the journal. Therefore, when being rejected, authors need to clearly understand the reason, edit and persistently resubmit.

From the experience of participating in many scientific research topics at all levels, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung shared the secret to balancing the time spent on teaching and scientific research, international publications: "Teaching and scientific research are two important tasks and can completely support each other very well. Because in-depth research in the field you are assigned to teach will be a very good theoretical and practical supplement to make the lectures more vivid. And through teaching, the results of academic research can be conveyed and widely disseminated to students, trainees, PhD students, and young researchers. Through teaching and training, it is also possible to connect with leading scholars, professors, and experts in many fields at universities and research institutes at home and abroad. Of course, completing both of these tasks well also requires great efforts from the lecturers themselves".

Dr. Nguyen Thu Trang gives specific examples of the role of qualitative research in scientific research based on practical results of research in the field of Social Work.
The delegates attending the Seminar had a very lively and open discussion about the content shared by the speakers, showing that this is a topic that many lecturers are interested in. Young scientists highly appreciated the significance of the Seminar because it clarified many very specific issues related to how to balance and connect teaching and scientific research, to build a quality research, and at the same time be able to publish in prestigious international scientific journals. In addition, opinions also hope that in the coming time, the School and the Union Executive Committee will have more Seminars and Workshops on more in-depth and specific issues: how to search for information about journals suitable for the profession; or how to set the Title, write an Abstract or Summary... to meet the requirements and be attractive;...
Summarizing the Seminar, MSc. Nguyen Van Thuy (Vice Chairman of the University's Trade Union Executive Committee) expressed his thanks to the four teachers and scientists who arranged their time to attend and share their valuable experiences, not only helping to equip them with more knowledge on how to build a quality international article that can be published in prestigious scientific journals; but more importantly, adding motivation and confidence in scientific research associated with international publication for lecturers and young scientists of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The University's Trade Union Executive Committee hopes to continue to receive the support and enthusiastic participation of teachers, scientists and trade union members in the professional activities of the Trade Union.
