Taking place from October 14 to 18, 2022, the training course "Improving capacity, leadership and management skills for officials of Meo Vac district, Ha Giang province" is organized by the Institute of Policy and Management - University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the VNU Scientists Club in coordination with the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Meo Vac district.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, VNU Vice President Nguyen Hieu congratulated more than 40 students who attended and completed the capacity building training course held in Meo Vac district, Ha Giang province and at VNU Hoa Lac campus.
Vice President Nguyen Hieu said that in recent years, VNU has had many strategic cooperation activities with priority partners, especially localities, to actively participate in the process of effective and sustainable socio-economic development.and human resource developmentin many provinces,throughout the country. Heassume thatThe training course provided practical teaching topics and also gave students useful experiences.ThisThis is a practical and meaningful activity demonstrating the strong commitment of VNU in supporting Meo Vac district in particular and Ha Giang province in general in improving capacity and training staff to meet the development needs of the locality in the coming time.

Sharing at the closing ceremony, Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Committee of Ha Giang Province, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Meo Vac District, expressed her sincere thanks to VNU for organizing a meaningful and practical training program for leaders at all levels of the District. She said that the knowledge and skills provided through the course will help the trainees carry out practical tasks more conveniently and effectively. Secretary of the District Party Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha hopes that VNU will continue to accompany and support the District not only in training and improving the quality of human resources but also in cultural, economic and social development activities of the locality.

At the closing ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities),The Head of the Executive Board of the VNU Scientists Club said that through the survey, the trainees all evaluated the training program as reasonable and scientific. The lecturers provided methods and basic knowledge on: Effective time management skills; Effective planning and execution skills; Decision-making and problem-solving skills of leaders; Conflict management in leadership and management; Document drafting skills; Exchange of experiences on the difficulties and barriers of female leaders and managers in the new context.
Many ideasiThe students expressed their wish that VNU would continue to open more skill training classes and increase knowledge content on topics such as analysis, policy planning, policy evaluation, presentation skills, communication skills in public service performance, etc. The students also suggested increasing discussion time; maintaining group learning and presentation methods; learning through role-playing to solve situations, etc.
