October 29: Dr. Doan Huong will talk about the behavioral culture of young Vietnamese people.

Dr. Doan Huong studied and researched in Russia for 10 years and is the first female Doctor of Literature in Vietnam. She used to teach at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication (University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU), was a guest lecturer at many universities around the world and is a famous cultural researcher. She is also a familiar speaker at many forums and a favorite guest at many talk shows of press and media agencies when discussing hot current issues in the field of culture and society such asCoffee talk(VTV3),Morning coffee(VTV3), 24 hours,Happy lunch(VTV),Multidimensional(VTC)...

Dr. Doan Huong - cultural researcher, lecturer at Faculty of Journalism and Communication

With the unique experience and perspective of a cultural researcher, Dr. Doan Huong attracted the attention of public opinion when discussing many prominent social phenomena today such as: apathy - the scum floating on the surface of society and the deep roots of educational causes; apology culture and the manifestation of dialogue and democracy in society; Vietnamese people living a virtual life and its consequences; beauty pageants - beauty and humanistic values; behavioral culture on Facebook; the secret to success of modern women; laziness of Vietnamese people; doctoral dissertations and creativity in science; reading culture and the art of reading; silence and indecisiveness; formalism and chaos of titles... All social issues are explained by the female scientist from a profound cultural perspective and with a humane, positive attitude.

Dr. Doan Huong is a familiar and beloved face of the Morning Coffee program (VTV3).

Dr. Doan Huong is also famous as a speaker with attractive presentations because the stories she tells always contain knowledge about literature, culture and the rich experience of a scientist who has traveled and researched culture in many countries in both the East and the West. Thanks to that, Dr. Doan Huong "fascinates" listeners with vivid, specific stories but hidden in them are philosophies and strong emotions about beauty and life. She exudes an interesting contrast between her slightly "dusty" appearance with short hair, her characteristic husky voice that cannot be mixed with the charm in the way she speaks, the subtlety in her feelings and the softness and sensitivity in her thoughts.

In her stories, the topic of youth is always favored by Dr. Doan Huong. Many young people love her and call her an “inspirational person”. Her view of youth is straightforward, realistic but highly motivating and orienting.

Dr. Doan Huong has many studies on behavioral culture among young people.

She once shared in the media: today's youth are intelligent, enthusiastic and dynamic, but why are there still many unhealthy phenomena among young people such as laziness, competition, disorientation, lack of ideals, lack of passion and ambition, apathy...? Society is still "startled" by the phenomena of school violence, child abuse, doctors' negligence towards patients, increasing social evils and the severity of cases, people dying in traffic accidents because no one came to their rescue, deviant living... So to change this, we must start with education and culture. That is the issue of behavioral culture in modern society. Because without a good behavioral culture, young people will find it difficult to succeed in life. Sometimes just one wrong behavior, one negative thought can have a great impact on their whole life later on. Behavioral culture should start with us loving our family, friends, and then more broadly, the community and the country. Next is the issue of education. Young people must have knowledge to master their own lives, be able to contribute and create values for society. Next is foreign languages - a tool to help young people integrate globally and absorb the quintessence of world intelligence and civilization. In addition, young people need to build a reading culture and physical training. Live positively, passionately, diligently and compassionately - those are the messages that Dr. Doan Huong mentioned a lot in her talks with young people.

Dr. Doan Huong is loved by young people thanks to her talks on prominent social issues but approached and explained from a cultural perspective.

On October 29, students inside and outside the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Doan Huong with a very interesting topic: "Young Vietnamese and behavioral culture". We are sure that young people will gain more knowledge, valuable understanding of life as well as be inspired to live from the stories and advice from this wonderful female scientist - speaker.
