On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th, the Board of Directors, the Association of Retired Teachers, and the Trade Union of the University visited and extended best wishes to elderly teachers residing in Hanoi. This journey of gratitude brought the current leaders, staff, and lecturers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities back to cherished and proud memories. Once again, these senior teachers, the pinnacles of intellect and virtue in the glorious history of the University's more than 70-year tradition, imparted invaluable lessons to the present generation.

Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University), Professor Vu Duong Ninh (Chairman of the Association of Retired Teachers), and Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh (Head of the Personnel Department) visited and congratulated Professor Phan Huy Le and his family on Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

Professor Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University, and Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh, Head of the Personnel Department, visited and congratulated Professor Vu Duong Ninh on a pleasant morning. On the appointed time, Professor Vu Duong Ninh opened the door and prepared to join the delegation (in his capacity as Chairman of the University's Retired Teachers Association). Professor Vu Duong Ninh, born in 1937, was a student of the first graduating class of Hanoi University and a fellow student of renowned educators and historians such as Professor Phan Dai Doan, Associate Professor Le Mau Han, Associate Professor Nguyen Thua Hy, and Associate Professor Pham Thi Tam... His meticulous approach to science and life, coupled with his excitement at the prospect of visiting his teacher and fellow students and colleagues, seemed to be the reason why Professor Vu Duong Ninh only had a short time to receive the congratulatory flowers from the Rector. He urged the delegation to leave early. The delegation visited and congratulated Professor Dinh Xuan Lam, Professor Phan Huy Le, and Professor Phan Dai Doan. Professor Dinh Xuan Lam and Professor Phan Huy Le are two of the legendary "four pillars" of the History Department (along with Professor Ha Van Tan and the late Professor Tran Quoc Vuong). Professor Dinh Xuan Lam (born in 1925Professor Phan Huy Le, now over 90 years old, may be in frail health, but he still greets and interacts with his students with warm, affectionate eyes. Those eyes continue to follow and inspire generations of students as they embark on their scientific journey. The reunion of the two friends was filled with laughter and reminiscing, leaving the student truly admiring, respecting, and moved.

Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, along with Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang (Chairman of the Trade Union), visited and congratulated Associate Professor and Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Thua Hy and his family on Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

Professor Nguyen Van Kim, Party Secretary and Vice Rector of the University, along with Associate Professor Dang Xuan Khang (Chairman of the Trade Union) and Mr. Nguyen Tich Nghi (Deputy Head of the Personnel Department), visited Professor Ha Van Tan, Associate Professor Nguyen Thua Hy, Associate Professor Nguyen Quoc Hung, and Associate Professor Le Sy Giao. Professor Ha Van Tan, 82 years old, is frail but still very sharp and knowledgeable. Although he doesn't speak the words, he personally writes down in his notebooks the things he reminds his students of, focusing on his scientific work. Professor Nguyen Thua Hy and Professor Nguyen Quoc Hung are also in their 80s, but their health and intellect inspire admiration from their students. Professor Le Sy Giao is also over 70. These professors have dedicated their hearts and minds to building and enhancing the reputation of the History department as well as other new but highly prestigious departments of the University, such as Professor Nguyen Quoc Hung with Oriental Studies and Professor Le Sy Giao with Anthropology.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector, and Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department, visited the elderly teachers, the "precious pillars" of the school's tradition: Professor Dr. Hoang Thi Chau (born in 1934, (she was the first female professor of Vietnamese Linguistics), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Hanhborn in 1930, I was honored to receive the Order of the Academic Palms of the French Republic in 2013 for my literary achievements.), People's Teacher Lê Hồng Sâm (Born in 1930, he was honored with the Order of the Academic Palms of the French Republic in 2003 for his literary achievements.), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Tam (Born in 1937, a renowned scientist specializing in the history of resistance against foreign invaders and Vietnamese military art.). The elegant demeanor, sharp intellect, gestures, and speech of the senior female teachers remain as they were when they stood on the podium, deeply ingrained in their scientific character and everyday lives. They still maintain the habit of research as an indispensable activity, even working with computers and always keeping up with current scientific issues. After visiting and wishing good health to the senior female teachers of the University, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa emotionally shared:Visiting and wishing good health to our senior professors has become a cherished tradition and a distinctive cultural feature of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. When visiting them, I see that they are not only great scientists but also great personalities. They embody the image of elegant, exemplary, and knowledgeable Vietnamese women. I truly admire them. They remain deeply committed to science and the university, maintaining regular contact with each other and with their students. These are truly valuable qualities. Furthermore, they are compelling examples of intellectual women, successful female educators and scientists, both in their careers and in their personal lives. They serve as role models and inspirations for female educators and scientists at the university in general, and for myself in particular, in all aspects of our careers and lives.".

In the presence of our teachers, life seems to become calm and peaceful, and all the noble human values ​​are revived.
