The author delves into a number of issues on Vietnam's foreign relations, the relationship between Vietnam and the world, between the Vietnamese revolution and external forces, including allies and opponents. The content analyzes diplomatic negotiations in Hanoi, Geneva and Paris; the triangular relations between Vietnam - France - China in 1946, Vietnam - China - Soviet Union in 1950 - 1975, Vietnam's position in the US - China - Soviet Union triangle in 1954 - 1975 and 1975 - 1991. The book devotes many pages to Vietnam's international integration policy, bilateral and multilateral relations, especially the relationship between Vietnam - the United States, Vietnam - ASEAN, between Vietnam and international organizations. The final part presents some foreign affairs experiences, stages of international integration and Vietnam's integration from the perspective of human civilization history.
