Attending the conference were Comrade Hoang Van Hiep - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences, and Comrade Nguyen Duc Hieu - Member of the Standing Committee of the International School.
Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector), Ms. Pham Tram Anh - Deputy Head of the Scientific Research Management Department, Dr. Tran Bach Hieu - Secretary of the University's Youth Union, and three members of the Conference's judging panel: Dr. Phan Van Kien - Deputy Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Lecturer in the Faculty of Management Science, and Dr. Bui Thanh Minh - Lecturer in the Faculty of Sociology.
In recent years, digital transformation has become an inevitable trend. Particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, digital transformation has been widely implemented in many fields and industries. Recognizing this reality, the "Green Torch" Student Scientific Research Award for the 2021-2022 academic year chose "Digital Transformation" as its main research theme, suggesting diverse research directions. Six outstanding projects were selected for direct presentation at the Conference. These projects explore the theme of "Digital Transformation" from a multi-faceted, fresh perspective, possessing scientific and practical value, and clearly demonstrating the scientific research spirit of humanities students.
Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of the university) highly appreciated the activities of the "Green Torch" program over the past years. This is a well-invested and systematically organized platform, and is also one of the highlights of the activities of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This year's theme is "Digital Transformation".It is not only practical for students and applicable to youth union and student association activities, but also closely follows current events and grasps the pressing issues facing the real world.The School's leadership is committed to implementing policies and activities to support the development of the scientific research movement among humanities students in general and the "Green Torch" program in particular in the future.
At the conference, representatives from the six best groups presented their research results and received comments, suggestions, and critical questions from the judging panel and participating students. Finally, the judging panel deliberated and decided to award six prizes to the research projects participating in the conference, as follows:
Additionally, the "Most Popular Topic" category (voted on the USSH Green Torch Award fanpage) went to the team of contestants Nguyen Thuy Duong, Nguyen Thi Hai, and Tran Ba Bien (K64 Information Management) with their topic "User experience with the PC-Covid application and the Electronic Health Book in supporting COVID-19 prevention and control".
Thus, after more than 5 months of launching and implementation, the "Green Torch" Student Scientific Research Award for the 2021-2022 academic year has officially concluded. The award has become a valuable companion and forum for scientific research among young people in the humanities.
