The exciting journey of MESSAGE 4 DIGIGEN 2025
The "Message 4 Digigen 2025" competition is a video creation contest for high school and university students, organized by the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with the support and sponsorship of Meta. The host unit is the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, directly implemented by the Digital Humanities Club and the Information and Library Science Faculty's Youth Union.
As part of the project "Enhancing AI skills for students," the competition aims to improve digital literacy among students, create a forum for Gen Z to exchange ideas and innovate, and develop critical thinking, empathy, and respect in the digital environment, ultimately fostering a generation of responsible digital citizens.
The "Message 4 Digigen 2025" competition has come a long way since its launch in January 2025. This is a platform specifically for Vietnamese students and young people aged 16-25, aiming to raise awareness about digital skills, AI generation, and critical thinking. With the goal of helping the younger generation access and apply AI effectively, the competition has attracted significant interest from the young community passionate about technology and creative media.
From the initial idea round, the competing teams demonstrated creativity and insight in presenting unique content about digital responsibility and the impact of AI on society. The top 20 selected advanced to the intensive training round, where they were trained by leading experts in AI and communication to refine their competition entries.
After more than two months of implementation, the competition has achieved impressive numbers: Over 80 applications from students across the country; the support of 4 major sponsors: SkillPixel, Dukick Advertising Film, TTC Media, and ColorME, which have helped elevate the scale and professional quality of the competition; and over 50,000 views on the competition's fanpage posts, demonstrating its strong appeal to the community.
Ready to shine at the grand finale!
The final stage of the competition will officially conclude with the grand finale on April 3rd, 2025, at the auditorium on the 8th floor of building E, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. This will be an explosive night of competition between the best teams, promising exciting and creative performances.
Six outstanding teams will compete in the Grand Finale, including:
1. AIntellects Team, Faculty of English Pedagogy, University of Foreign Languages
2. Astronova AI team, Information Management and Information-Library Science major, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
3. Expecto Patronum Team, Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, University of Social Sciences and Humanities
4. Masterchef AI Team, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Natural Sciences
5. The Five Tiger Generals Team, School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts, University
The competing teams will go through two exciting rounds: a game round to answer questions about AI generation and a presentation and debate round featuring their product videos. More than just a competition, the final night is also an opportunity for the audience to learn practical knowledge about AI generation, from how to apply this technology in media to developing critical thinking in the digital age.
In particular, spectators who come to cheer in person also have the opportunity to directly participate in games and receive extremely valuable electronic prizes.
