The Organizing Committee of the Academic Advising Competition launched the contest “Asking questions and creating situations for academic advisors” exclusively for students. The purpose of the contest is for students to participate in creating situations that need to be solved regarding academic advising; thereby selecting typical situations to make exam questions for academic advisors to compete.

On March 22, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a conference on “Training in the process of converting to credit-based training” in Ba Vi – Hanoi. The conference summarized and evaluated the activities of non-formal training, and at the same time deployed directions and tasks in the coming time.

The Master's Degree Award Ceremony for 22 graduate students of the "Management of Organizations" (MADO) program, course 2, was held on March 16, 2011. At the same time, 23 students of the "Management of Organizations" program, course 3, also received certificates of completion of the first-level master's degree.

On the morning of March 16, 2011, staff of the two faculties of International Studies, Archives and QTVP had a training session on quality assessment of training programs under the guidance of Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Doan Dai (Quality Assurance Institute - VNU). Currently, due to following the crowd mentality and pursuing majors that are considered "hot", many candidates still have concerns when choosing majors in social sciences and humanities such as: not knowing what to study and what to do after graduation...

On February 24, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the first master's degree awarding ceremony for 95 graduate students of 12 majors. Of these, 44 students of the QH-2007-X course defended their master's degrees on time and 7 students of the QH-2008-X course defended their master's degrees ahead of schedule.

The Science and Training Council for the 2009-2014 term of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held its third meeting on the morning of January 22, 2011, chaired by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University.

On January 20, 2011, VNU held a conference to review credit training phase 1 (2006-2010) at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The conference aimed to evaluate the results achieved in credit training phase 1 and discuss basic solutions and tasks to implement the conversion to credit training in the next phase.
