The organizing committee of the Academic Advisor Skills Competition has launched a contest titled "Assigning Questions and Scenarios for Academic Advisors" exclusively for students. The purpose of the contest is for students to participate in developing scenarios requiring solutions regarding academic advising; from there, typical scenarios will be selected to serve as exam questions for academic advisors participating in the competition.

On April 15, 2011, the 4th Quality Assurance Conference of Vietnam National University, Hanoi was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On the morning of April 9, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held its 2011 Practical Training Conference. The conference aimed to answer the question: How should the methods of organizing practical training and internships be changed to suit the transition to a credit-based training system?

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities will begin accepting applications for the 2011 regular undergraduate entrance exam in Group C, starting from April 15, 2011.

On the morning of April 2nd, 2011, the first Academic Advisor Skills Competition officially opened. Immediately following the opening ceremony was the first round, titled "Accompanying," with the participation of 61 academic advisors.

The Postgraduate Training Department announces the exam schedule for the General Foreign Language subject for the 2010 cohort.

On March 22, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a conference on "Training in the Transition to Credit-Based Training" in Ba Vi, Hanoi. The conference summarized and evaluated the activities of non-formal training programs and outlined future directions and tasks.

The graduation ceremony for 22 postgraduate students of the "Organizational Management" (MADO) program, cohort 2, was held on March 16, 2011. At the same ceremony, 23 students of the "Organizational Management" program, cohort 3, also received their Master's degree certificates.

On the morning of March 16, 2011, faculty members from the International Studies, Archival Studies, and Office Administration departments participated in a training session on program quality accreditation under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Doan Dai (Institute for Quality Assurance - VNU Hanoi). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Kim Son – Vice Rector of the university – was also in attendance.

Before each exam season, students are always stressed about choosing a major. The biggest worry is how to choose a major that suits their abilities and leads to a successful career after graduation – a difficult task for many. Currently, due to following the crowd and chasing after supposedly "hot" majors, many students still have concerns about choosing social sciences and humanities majors, such as: not knowing what they will study and what they will be able to do after graduation…

On February 24, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the first master's degree awarding ceremony for 95 graduate students from 12 disciplines. Of these, 44 students from the QH-2007-X cohort successfully defended their theses on time, and 7 students from the QH-2008-X cohort successfully defended theirs ahead of schedule.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) announces the first round of admissions for master's programs in 2011.

The Scientific and Training Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, term 2009–2014, held its third meeting on the morning of January 22, 2011, chaired by Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh, the Rector of the University.

On January 20, 2011, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) held a conference to review the first phase of credit-based training (2006-2010) at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The conference aimed to evaluate the achievements of the first phase of credit-based training and discuss fundamental solutions and tasks for implementing the transition to credit-based training in the next phase.
