On August 21 and 22, the scientific conference “Research and teaching Vietnamese studies and Vietnamese language” took place in Dai Lai, Vinh Phuc. This is an annual conference co-organized by two units specializing in training in Vietnamese studies, the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language (University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU) and the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies (University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU-HCM), aiming to cooperate and exchange basic issues in research as well as teaching Vietnamese studies today.

On August 20, 2012, Prof. Seiji Yoneda (Ehime University - Japan) gave a presentation and shared experiences on sustainable community tourism development with lecturers, students, and trainees of the Faculty of Tourism Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and representatives of the General Department of Tourism.
