On August 7, 2012, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - and Dr. Nguyen Van Son - Director of the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center - signed a memorandum of understanding between the two units on coordinating research, conservation and promotion of the value of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site and the Co Loa Relic Site.This agreement is implemented from 2012 to 2015 with the following main contents: Regarding scientific research, the two sides will coordinate to research contents related to the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site and the Co Loa Relic Site, including: research and collection of documents to restore the space of Kinh Thien Palace; research and collection of documents on the two heritage sites; organization of archaeological excavations; organization of seminars and scientific conferences with related contents; cooperation and exchange of international experts in the fields of research, conservation and promotion of the values of the above heritage. Regarding training, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities supports the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center in training staff in the fields of cultural heritage management and research.
