The Tourism and Sustainable Energy Gala is a cultural exchange program between the Faculty of Tourism Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Faculty of Tourism Education - University of Industry and the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies - Thang Long Private University. The gala night is one of a series of activities organized by the Faculty of Tourism Studies to celebrate World Tourism Day on September 27th.

"Talent of K57" - a competition for new students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - was held on September 27, 2012 at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural Center.

The final round of the "I am K57" freshman talent search took place on the evening of September 27th at the Me Tri Dormitory Auditorium. The program provided a valuable platform for students to confidently showcase their abilities on stage as they entered university. This was the second year the program was organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the university.

On September 24th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities welcomed the external evaluation team from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, led by Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Ha, to conduct a preliminary survey at the University.

On September 19, 2012, Professor Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan (Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi) signed Decision No. 3072/QD-DT promulgating the standard training program for the Public Relations major. The Public Relations major, offered by the Faculty of Journalism and Communication – University of Social Sciences and Humanities, has the major code: 52360708, and the graduation title: Bachelor. The total number of credits students must accumulate is 131 credits.

The dual degree program in Tourism Studies has been implemented at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities since the 2009-2010 academic year, and to date, three cohorts have been enrolled and trained. To meet the information needs of students regarding this new program, on September 22nd, the Faculty of Tourism Studies organized a seminar entitled “Tourism and Travel Service Management: Dual Degree Program and Career Opportunities” to help students gain a more thorough understanding of the career realities related to Tourism and Travel Service Management and the feasibility of pursuing a dual degree program.

On September 24, 2012, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh met and worked with Dr. Hoang Van Ke, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hai Phong City. Also present at the meeting were Professor Dinh Xuan Lam and several scientists from the Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Hai Phong Science and Technology Association.

Welcome to the online admissions counseling program for the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

“Pay attention, the body movements and gestures of the client all provide useful information that helps the counselor assess their psychological state and respond appropriately. If their arms are extended or clasped together, it means the student is tense; don't rush to give advice because they can't hear you at that moment. Help them regain their balance and overcome that moment… When the person opposite leans back towards the counselor, that's when they are very attentive and want to listen…” – this is just one of many interesting insights shared by Professor Tran Thi Minh Duc (Faculty of Psychology) at the counseling skills training course for CASA's collaborating lecturers on September 22nd.

On September 18, 2012, the Lotte Foundation Scholarship Fund held a scholarship awarding ceremony for students from universities in Hanoi for the 2012-2013 academic year. This was the 10th time the Lotte Group has awarded scholarships to 46 outstanding students from universities such as: Vietnam National University, Hanoi (University of Foreign Languages, University of Economics, University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Hanoi University, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University of Technology, University of Civil Engineering, National Economics University, etc.

The graduation ceremony for bachelor's degree students in the bridging program, class QH-2010-X, majoring in Archival Studies and Office Management, took place on September 18, 2012.

During his visit to Hanoi to lecture at the Faculty of Linguistics, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Dr. Thai Duy Bao, Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University, accepted an invitation to present at the scientific meeting of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language on September 18, 2012, with the topic: "Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Linguistics in Australia".
