At the conference, delegates unanimously agreed with the report assessing the performance of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities during the academic year, affirming that the University had successfully completed its tasks for the 2008-2009 academic year, achieving many important accomplishments in various fields, especially in credit-based training; developing international collaborative training programs; building and implementing many state-level research projects; organizing and participating in many international conferences, contributing to further affirming the role and position of the University domestically and internationally.

Currently, apart from the 2005-X cohort, all regular full-time programs are being taught using the credit system. The university's transition to a credit-based system is being implemented comprehensively, both in breadth and depth, with the roadmap following schedule and achieving some positive results.

Regarding international relations, during the past academic year, the University signed 11 additional cooperation agreements with universities in Poland, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and the United States. In addition to coordinating short-term training programs, international research and conferences, and faculty exchanges, the University has also expanded its degree-granting cooperation programs. International projects continue to be implemented and expanded; besides projects in International Relations, Anthropology, and Film, there are three new projects: Religious Studies (in collaboration with the Missio Aachen Institute, Germany), Policy Research and Analysis (with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation), and a Master's program in Hotel Management (with the University of Toulouse II).

The past academic year was also marked by outstanding achievements in the university's scientific research activities, with a record number of 5 state-level research projects led by university staff. In addition, successful international conferences, including many major ones, further affirmed the university's scientific position and prestige, such as: the 9th Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on Korea and Korean Studies (in collaboration with the Central Institute for Korean Studies); Promoting Japanese Studies in Vietnam (in collaboration with the Japan Foundation); Research and Training in Social Work in the Era of Integration and Development (in collaboration with San Jose State University, USA)...

Delegates also pointed out several shortcomings in the work of the past academic year, such as: the failure to implement the plan for professional and vocational training for staff, especially young staff; the slow progress in implementing the training plan for the year as well as some stages in the credit-based training roadmap; the continued existence of overdue scientific research projects; the unreasonable evaluation of theses and dissertations; and the low effectiveness of promoting the school's image...

The conference also adopted the work plan for the 2009-2011 academic year, with the basic task of further promoting the implementation of six programs aimed at standardizing and modernizing all aspects of the school's activities. Particular emphasis was placed on developing the teaching staff in both quantity and quality; standardizing and deepening credit-based training to contribute to improving the quality of education; and promoting scientific research and international cooperation.

The conference also voted to elect the People's Inspection Committee for the 2009-2011 term, consisting of 5 members: Nguyen Van Anh (Faculty of History), Le Minh Loan (Faculty of Psychology), Phung Thi Kim Oanh (Planning and Finance Department), Dao Van Hung (Faculty of Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies), and Dao Minh Quan (Training Department).
