Conference to review the work of the 2009-2014 term and conduct a vote of confidence for the reappointment of the Rector.

On September 22, 2009, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a conference of key officials to evaluate the results of the Rector's term from 2004 to 2009 and a conference of staff and employees to conduct a vote of confidence and nominate candidates for reappointment as Rector for the term 2009-2014.

Attending the conference were representatives from the Hanoi City Party Committee's Organizing Committee; on the side of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Trong Quat - Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi - along with many representatives from the leadership of the office and functional departments of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

At the two conferences, delegates listened to Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - the school's principal - present his work.Principal's self-assessment report on his term of office.andWork program for the term 2009 – 2014Accordingly, the Principal's work program for the 2009-2014 term will focus on the following key tasks:

• Continue to improve the structure of industries and professions.
• High-quality training that meets international standards.
• Rapid development of teaching and administrative staff.
• Improving the quality and effectiveness of scientific research activities.
• Expanding and enhancing the effectiveness of international cooperation.
• Strengthen the mobilization and effective use of financial resources; continue to modernize infrastructure.

The conference also received input from many delegates. Besides acknowledging the achievements the university has made during the past term, the conferences unanimously agreed that Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh has successfully fulfilled his duties as the university's Rector.

The conference proceeded with a vote of confidence to reappoint the Rector for the 2009-2014 term.
