Following the directives of the Prime Minister and the National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Acute Respiratory Disease caused by the novel Coronavirus, and based on the conclusions of the meeting of the Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Acute Respiratory Disease (Covid-19) of Vietnam National University, Hanoi on March 9, 2020, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities requests the heads of its units to immediately implement the following tasks:
1. Students and postgraduate students (collectively referred to as students) are prohibited from attending in-person classes in lecture halls from March 9, 2020, until further notice. Online teaching and learning will be implemented. The implementation of online teaching and learning at each unit requires a long-term plan, serious and systematic execution, and guaranteed quality and effectiveness. Units needing support to use the online teaching platform of UPM Education Joint Stock Company should proactively contact the IT support team via Dr. Do Duc Hung - Phone: 0967101977, Email: dvhung@gmail.com.
2. The schedule for general courses for students at the Center for Physical Education and Sports; and the Center for National Defense and Security Education will be POSTPONED until further notice. Students of the unit (currently in Hanoi) are advised to LIMIT travel and contact, and especially AVOID traveling outside of Hanoi.
3. Require civil servants, public employees, and workers of the unit to identify their own contact groups (F1, F2, F3: according to the attached appendix) and proactively declare detailed information (full name, address, phone number, contact history, time, location, etc.) to:
- Contact the local health center in your area of residence for advice and monitoring of isolation (centralized for F1 cases; at home for F2 and F3 cases);
- The unit should compile the list and send the report to the Steering Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities via email: ctsv@sv.ussh.edu.vncuongph.1982@gmail.com phone: 0243 8583800Before 5:00 PM on Monday, March 9, 2020.
Individuals belonging to the aforementioned group should proactively implement self-isolation measures as guided by the Ministry of Health; regularly monitor their own health status as well as that of those they have been in close contact with, and promptly inform the unit's Steering Committee for disease prevention and control.
During the 14-day quarantine period (from the date of contact), if symptoms such as cough, fever, chest pain, shortness of breath, sneezing, runny nose, body aches, etc., appear, report to the local health center or the Ministry of Health's hotline (1900 3228 and 1900 9095) and also inform your workplace for medical assistance.
4. Continuously update the situation and the number of individuals in the unit belonging to the relevant groups (F1, F2, F3) and promptly report to the Steering Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
5. Require all officials, employees, and workers of the unit to proactively implement self-prevention and control measures against infectious diseases; strictly comply with State regulations on public speaking and information provision; and refrain from spreading information of unknown origin or that has not been verified by competent authorities.
6. Maintain stability within the unit and continue to strictly implement disease prevention and control measures at the agency/unit, especially mandatory mask wearing and hand washing with disinfectant.
