At the ceremony to hand over the support money to students in difficulty, comrade Le Quoc Minh said that over the past 2 years, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected many different groups in society, including students studying at universities. Through sources, he learned that many students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were also affected, especially those currently stuck in Hanoi during the social distancing period.
On behalf of the leaders, staff and reporters of Nhan Dan Newspaper, comrade Le Quoc Minh expressed his sympathy to the School and the students. At the same time, he hoped that the small gift would help the students of the School ease their difficulties in the coming time.
Receiving the support money, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan said that the school has more than 8,500 students, most of whom are in their hometowns for summer vacation. However, there are still more than 2,000 students staying in the city for summer study, part-time jobs... Of these, there are about more than 1,000 students who are facing difficulties during the period of social distancing. The school is making efforts to use the unit's funding, as well as contributions from benefactors, to stabilize the living and studying of students facing difficulties. Therefore, the timely support of Nhan Dan Newspaper is very much appreciated. The school will promptly transfer the support money to the students.
