
The SEG Events Club is showcasing its activities.
"Taking Flight" is the meaningful theme that the Youth Union and Student Association of the University want to convey to new students through a series of activities on the opening day. To prepare for a four-year "flight," the timing of departure is always crucial. Immediately after the opening ceremony, new students participated in the Club Fair. Each club organized image promotion and recruitment for the new semester. Eighteen clubs under the Youth Union and Student Association – each with its own personality and unique characteristics – all shared the commonality of having vibrant activities to attract students to apply.

The Humanitarian Youth Blood Donation Campaign Team is currently conducting interviews to recruit members and collaborators.
Nhat Linh, a member of the Xung Kich Volunteer Student Team, shared: “We focus on communicating on our fanpage so that new students know more about Xung Kich. Today, seeing the students, I feel like my first-year memories are flooding back, along with the excitement of welcoming them to the team. I hope that in the coming year, the Xung Kich Volunteer Student Team will become even stronger and be able to help the school and the students even more.”

USSH Guitar Club is currently recruiting new members.
Minh Ngoc, a member of the Humanities and Gender Equality Club, said: “We organized the workshop “How Amazing, Thi!” and the art exhibition “My School is Safe” within the framework of Hanoi Pride to communicate the image of Nha Cam to let people know about it. I am very happy, excited, and looking forward to new members, and I also hope the club can expand and develop further in the future.”

The preparatory journey continued with two parallel events on the afternoon of September 21st: "New Student Preparation" and a panel discussion on "Is it easy or difficult to achieve the '5 Good Students' award?". In "New Student Preparation," K64 students participated in a very interesting "Golden Bell Challenge." The questions were diverse and varied, focusing on knowledge about the Student Union, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi… Through this, students were equipped with knowledge and skills about double majors, scholarship applications, volunteer activities… After several rounds of competition, Hoang Van Xuan Truong – K64 Vietnamese Studies – excelled and became the top "Golden Bell Challenge" winner.

The seminar "Is it easy or difficult to achieve the '5 Good Student' title?" was organized with the goal of developing a movement of emulation in training and learning to achieve the title of "5 Good Student". During the seminar, new students had the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with guest speakers, including senior students who achieved the "5 Good Student" title at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the City, and the Central levels. They received information about the criteria for the "5 Good Student" title; advice on how to allocate and manage time to balance studies and striving to become a "5 Good Student"; and the benefits of being a "5 Good Student", etc.

The highlight of the freshman welcoming event was the "Take-off" Gala Night. Students were greeted with vibrant, unique, and spectacular performances from the arts competition of 10 clubs under the Youth Union and Student Association. In the final results, the "Most Energetic" award went to the Peacecrew Club and the Social Work Student Team. The "Most Impressive" award was given to the Humanities Blood Donation Movement Youth Team and the Humanities Vovinam Club. The Hanoi National University Karate Club won the "Most Popular" award.

Following that, the Gala night was further enhanced by the appearance of singer Van Mai Huong, who performed songs that made her famous. The new students were also welcomed by MC Hanh Phuc, who offered words of encouragement and meaningful advice before they "took flight" towards their aspirations. Finally, the incredibly successful Gala night concluded with the energetic EDM music of DJ DTV3Z. The new students undoubtedly partied hard to welcome a new academic year filled with new successes.

Sharing her thoughts on the series of special events welcoming the K64 cohort, Ms. Nguyen Bich Dao - President of the Student Union of the University - shared: “I am very happy to welcome 2,000 new students to USSH. Looking at those radiant faces, I have high hopes that the next generation can continue the activities of the Youth Union and Student Union. In fact, there is a very special point in this series of events: almost all the preparation work has involved the enthusiastic participation of the K64 students. Although there is still support from senior students, it is clear that the students are being proactive and confident in expressing themselves.”

Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, a freshman in the K64 Information Management program, said: "I was very surprised by the preparation of the Student Union and Association in organizing this series of events. I feel that our university is truly a humane institution with dedicated and wholehearted lecturers; and senior students who are always enthusiastic in helping us. I can quickly integrate into the university environment with the knowledge and skills I have acquired today."

The journey of youth during university years has begun with great enthusiasm and excitement, filled with practical activities. Let's wish the 64th graduating class a successful "take-off," and rest assured that throughout this four-year journey, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University will always be there to support and help you spread your wings and reach your dreams.
