Opening of the Tradition Room of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities

The Traditional Room is a place to preserve and display images, documents, and artifacts about the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, aiming to help staff and students better understand the history, glorious achievements, and typical traditions of the University. Each artifact and photograph on display tells a vivid story about the contributions of generations of teachers and students of the University. This opening event is of great significance as the University prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary and 25th founding anniversary next year.

The exhibits in the Traditional Room are designed around seven themes: Respecting the Past; The University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Formation and Development; A Time of Fire and Glory; The University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Training, Research and International Integration, Serving the Cause of National Construction and Defense; Enduring Through Time; Mission and Social Status; and Humanistic Tradition. In addition, the Room includes an outdoor exhibition showcasing practical and significant activities of the University, such as the Borderland Singing Contest, the Festival of Revolutionary Song Propaganda Teams, and the Singing Contest for Staff and Students celebrating the 65th Anniversary of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities...

The slogan "Cherish the past, embrace the future" and the school's logo, featuring three symbols: a book, a torch, and the Temple of Literature, represent the tradition of studiousness nurtured over thousands of years of history.

The "A Time of Fiery Flowers" themed booth showcased exemplary students and young lecturers of the university who set aside their studies to fight in the wars of national liberation; the most prominent among them being Le Anh Xuan (Ca Le Hien).

The nation honors 27 martyrs, including faculty and students of the university, who sacrificed their lives in the wars of national liberation.

Over the years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has achieved many accomplishments in all areas, from research and training to international cooperation and quality accreditation.

The opening ceremony was attended by Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), along with the Board of Directors, leaders, and representatives from various departments of the University.
