Community service in Hien Ninh

On the afternoon of July 21, 2011, the volunteer student team of the Faculty of Literature in conjunction with the Executive Committee of the Thai Duong Village Youth Union in Hien Ninh Commune, Soc Son District (Hanoi) organized a cleaning of the village cultural house, cleaned the village roads and alleys, and cut weeds around the Tan An Pagoda area.Participating in the community work were not only student volunteers but also children, youth union members, especially the participation of the village's senior association. By 3:30 p.m., the entire outdoor stage and soccer field had been cleaned in preparation for the upcoming summer camp. Then the volunteer team proceeded to sweep the road connecting the village's cultural house to Tan An pagoda. Meanwhile, at Tan An pagoda, the Youth Union Executive Committee and the children pulled out weeds and took care of the plants in the pagoda garden. All the waste was transported to Tan Thai village's garbage dump for disposal. After the work session ended, the Tan Thai village Youth Union Executive Committee organized a cultural exchange with the volunteer student team of the Faculty of Literature at the village's cultural house.
