Community service in Hien Ninh

On the afternoon of July 21, 2011, the student volunteer team from the Faculty of Literature, in collaboration with the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Thai Duong village, Hien Ninh commune, Soc Son district (Hanoi), organized a cleanup of the village cultural center, cleaned village roads and alleys, and mowed weeds around Tan An pagoda.Participating in community service were not only student volunteers but also children, youth union members, and especially the elderly association of the village. By 3:30 PM, the entire outdoor stage area and football field had been cleaned in preparation for the upcoming summer camp. Afterwards, the volunteer team proceeded to sweep the road connecting the village cultural center to Tan An Pagoda. Meanwhile, at Tan An Pagoda, the Youth Union Executive Committee and the children organized the weeding and plant care in the pagoda garden. All waste was transported to the Tan Thai village waste disposal site for disposal. After the work session concluded, the Tan Thai village Youth Union Executive Committee organized a cultural exchange with the student volunteers from the Faculty of Literature at the village cultural center.
