On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the tradition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, this afternoon, November 16, 2010, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong visited and congratulated the University. Returning to his old school, the National Assembly Chairman expressed his joy and emotion at the remarkable development of the University in terms of scale, quantity and quality of training and research during the past 65 years of construction and growth. On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the tradition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong wished the University to always promote its glorious tradition, build and develop the University to become stronger and stronger, affirming the reputation and brand of the University.
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong is a former student of the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi University of Science (now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU), 1963-1967. During his career, he has held many different leadership positions and is currently Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Delegation, and Member of the National Defense and Security Council.
