On November 20, 2010, the Faculty of Tourism Studies solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Faculty of Tourism Studies tradition (1995 - 2010).Attending the ceremony were General Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Van Tuan, Deputy Director of Training Department, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Luu, representative of the school's leadership, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice Principal of the school, along with leaders of departments, functions in the school and agencies, travel agencies, hotels... Especially the presence of generations of staff, teachers, students of the Faculty of Tourism Studies. Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Head of the Faculty - reviewed the achievements made during the 15-year journey of building and developing the Faculty of Tourism Studies. After 15 years of official establishment, the Faculty currently has 2 departments: Department of Tourism Culture and Geography, Department of Tourism Economics and Operations. The Faculty's staff consists of 20 staff, of which 19/20 staff of the Faculty have a Master's degree or higher, including 3 Associate Professors, 5 PhDs. Regarding training, up to now, the Faculty has trained more than 1,600 full-time students and over 1,500 part-time students. In 2003, the Faculty opened a master's program and 107 students have graduated. In addition to the university system, the Faculty also provides professional training in guiding and fostering tourism knowledge... Regarding scientific research: Faculty staff have participated in presiding over 2 foreign projects, presiding over 23 topics with provinces and cities, 2 special topics at the National University level, 1 basic topic at the National University level, 23 topics at the school level and many other topics with units and research institutes in the tourism industry. In addition, the Faculty staff have compiled 12 textbooks, many monographs and reference books that are widely used. Regarding domestic and international cooperation: Over the years, the Faculty of Tourism has built and developed training cooperation relationships with many universities and international organizations: Mahidol University, Thampasat, Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Rikyo University, Kansai University (Japan), Tolouse University (France), Munich University (Germany)... The contributions of the Faculty of Tourism over the years have always been recognized. In 1997, the Faculty was awarded a certificate of merit by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hanoi People's Committee; in 2002, the Faculty of Tourism was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister.
