Colonel PS Punia, Defence Attaché, Embassy of India in Vietnam, delivered a welcoming speech.

On the university's side, welcoming the delegation were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thu Ha, Head of the Department of Indian Studies, along with numerous lecturers and students from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Faculty of History, the Faculty of International Studies, and the Faculty of Political Science.

The relationship between India and Vietnam has a strong foundation of cooperation and friendship that has developed over a long period, dating back to the time of Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and President Ho Chi Minh.

Recognizing the potential for cooperation in many areas in recent times, the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has regarded Vietnam as an important partner in its Look East policy. Vietnam also considers India a crucial strategic partner.

At the meeting, faculty and students of the university listened to two presentations from the Indian Navy on maritime security, strategy, and cooperation mechanisms.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh, the Rector of the University, also discussed with the Navy delegation the issue of changing the status quo and threats to peace and security in the South China Sea.

Following the Headmaster's presentation, a representative from the Indian Navy continued with a presentation on the topic of integrating multilateral security mechanisms in the Indian Ocean region.

The exchange attracted the attention and questions of researchers and experts from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. In the photo, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Dean of the Department of History, is seen asking questions and exchanging views with experts from India.

In a spirit of learning, exchange, and open discussion, experts from India and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, provided the audience with a wealth of useful information.

At the end of the exchange and working session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh presented a commemorative gift bearing the logo of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to the representative of the Indian Navy delegation.
