Interest-free loan program

Announcement regarding the implementation of the interest-free loan program from the Vietnam Student Support Fund of United Overseas Bank (UOB) for students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

In accordance with Official Letter No. 3053/ĐHQGHN-CTHSSV dated September 3, 2013, from the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, regarding the implementation of the interest-free loan program from the Vietnam Student Support Fund of United Overseas Bank (UOB) for students of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the University requests the Heads of Faculties/Departments to inform full-time students of the following:

1. Eligible students for loans

1.1. For students borrowing for the first time - Academic results for the 2012-2013 school year must be average or above;
- Achieved a GPA of at least average or above for the 2012-2013 school year;
- Priority will be given to students from disadvantaged family backgrounds; those who actively participate in social activities and scientific research.
1.2. For students who have already received loans: Students who have signed a loan agreement with UOB Bank, if they maintain the same academic results as the previous semester and wish to do so, will be considered for continued loan applications this semester.

2. Loan application documents for first-time student borrowers

- Notarized photocopies of the following documents: National Identity Card; Permanent Residence Registration/Temporary Residence Registration Certificate; - Transcripts for the two most recent academic years (with confirmation); For students of the QH-2013-X cohort: Notarized photocopy of the High School Transcript; Notarized photocopy of the Admission Notice for the 2013 Regular University Entrance Examination;
- Student profile (with verification);
- Loan application form to pay tuition fees (using the Fund's template);
- Other documents (if any).
Students should place these documents in a file folder measuring 25cm x 43cm, with the outside of the folder clearly marked with the following information (Full name, Date of birth, Department/School address, list of documents).

3. Loan application documents for students taking out loans for the second time or more.

- Academic transcript for the 2012-2013 school year (certified); - Photocopy of the loan acknowledgment slip for the most recent loan.

4. Regulations regarding the application process for UOB loans.

The school requests that students submit their applications by class so that the class representatives can compile a list (using the provided template) and student loan application documents to be sent to the school (via the Department of Politics and Student Affairs) before October 10, 2013 (Thursday). For students applying for a loan for the first time, after receiving and verifying the student's documents, the school will issue a "Loan Application Form for Tuition Fee Payment" to the class representatives. After the above deadline, any unit that has not submitted its list and application documents to the school will be automatically considered as not participating in this program.
