Congress of the Youth Union of the Administrative Staff Block for the term 2012-2013

On October 24, 2012, the Youth Union of the Administrative Staff Block held its General Meeting for the 2012-2013 term.Attending the congress were Ms. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh, M.Sc. – Secretary of Party Branch III of the Administrative Block, Mr. Pham Huy Cuong, M.Sc. – Deputy Secretary of the University Youth Union, along with members of the Youth Union and young staff members newly assigned to the Administrative Block. The Youth Union of the Administrative Block staff consists of 25 members who are young staff working in all Departments/Offices of the Administrative Block, including 13 Party members and 12 members who are candidates for Party membership. At the end of the 2011-2012 academic year, the Youth Union received a Certificate of Commendation from the Hanoi City Youth Union, and 5 members received certificates of commendation and awards at various levels. During the past term, the Youth Union organized several lively activities that attracted a large number of members, such as: offering incense at the K9 – Da Chong historical site, and cultural exchange at the Ao Vua ecological tourist area on the occasion of May 19th; The activities included an introduction to the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, the results of border demarcation and monument placement, and an exchange of experiences on the topic of "young cadres studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh" for members of the branch and nearly 40 members of the Youth Union branches of the Faculty of History, Management Science, Archival Studies and Office Administration, Philosophy, Political Science, Information - Library and Oriental Studies; a seminar on "Some techniques in applying information technology"; a thematic talk on "Nutrition for mothers and young children in the preschool age"; and a call for contributions from members to support members in the branch with difficult circumstances. Also during the 2011-2012 term, the Youth Union branch had 3 outstanding members admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam. In the 2011-2012 academic year's emulation ranking, all members of the Youth Union branch achieved the title of Advanced Worker, including: 8 members who received the title of Outstanding Worker at the grassroots level, 7 members who received Certificates of Merit from the Rector, and 1 member who received a Certificate of Merit from the Director of Hanoi National University. Currently, the Youth Union branch has 2 members who are doctoral students, 12 members who are Master's degree holders, and 7 members who are postgraduate students. The General Assembly was held solemnly, enthusiastically, and successfully. The General Assembly elected a new Executive Committee for the next term consisting of 3 members: Pham Lan Anh (Postgraduate Training Department), Vu Thi Thu Hang (Trade Union Office), and Pham Van Hue (Training Department).
