The 4th Party Congress of the Vietnam National University was a great success.

After three days of work conducted in a democratic and serious manner, the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, concluded successfully on the morning of August 13, 2010.In the closing session on the morning of August 13th, the 4th Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), consisting of 33 members, was introduced to the congress. The results of the first meeting of the 4th Executive Committee of the VNU Party Committee, held on August 12th, 2010, were also announced. Accordingly, the Executive Committee elected the Standing Committee of the VNU Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term, comprising 9 members. Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) was elected to the Standing Committee of the VNU Party Committee, 4th term. Professor Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan (Director of VNU, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, 3rd term) was elected as Secretary of the VNU Party Committee, 4th term. The Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee are Comrade Nguyen Huu Duc (Deputy Director of VNU) and Comrade Phung Xuan Nha (Rector of the University of Economics). Comrade Hoang Van Van (Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, Head of the Graduate School) was elected Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee. The Congress also unanimously elected a delegation from the Party Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, consisting of 4 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 15th Congress of the Hanoi City Party Committee. The Congress voted to approve the Congress Resolution with 100% of the delegates in agreement.
