Review of the results of leadership work from March to May 20, 2011, and key tasks from May 20 to June 30, 2011, of the School Party Committee.

I. Results of leadership work from March to May 20, 2011

1. Directed the restructuring of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication's leadership board for the 2011-2016 term and the Board of Directors of the Center for Journalism and Communication Professional Training; added one Deputy Head of the Psychology Faculty, a Deputy Head of the Inspection Board, and a Deputy Head of the Department of External Relations and International Training Cooperation; organized a conference for young staff and a delegation of management staff to study university administration in China. 2. Directed the organization of activities commemorating the victory day of April 30th and International Labor Day on May 1st and May 19th: a competition to learn about Ho Chi Minh's ideology by the Youth Union branches of the History, Philosophy, Management Science and Political Science departments; organized visits to historical sites and a seminar on "The Stance of Vietnam" about the teacher, poet, and martyr Le Anh Xuan by the Veterans Association. 1. Effectively carry out propaganda work and prepare for the 13th National Assembly elections and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term. 3. Organize the 2011 Party Work Conference with the theme: Strengthening the training and development of cadres towards achieving standards; providing guidance on Party work for the Party committees of the branches; approving the Action Program to implement the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Attending the conference were Comrade Phung Xuan Nha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of Hanoi National University, along with all members of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Chairman of the Trade Union, the Secretary of the Youth Union, the Chairman of the Veterans Association, the Party committees of the branches, and the heads of the units. 4. Direct the 2011 university entrance examination (with over 5,000 applications for Block C, 890 applications for Block D, and over 400 applications for Block A registered to take the entrance exam at the University); Directing the planning and adjustment of training programs. Directing the successful organization of the first postgraduate entrance examination in 2011 (with 734 candidates); organizing the Academic Advisor Professional Competition to promote credit-based training. 5. Directing the implementation of plans to develop several majors/specializations to meet international standards. 6. Directing the successful organization of the international scientific conference: National Master Khuong Viet and Vietnamese Buddhism in the early era of independence and preparing for the 2011 student scientific conference; the conference: The contribution of social sciences and humanities to the cause of national construction and development; completing the plan for the construction of several projects. 7. Directing the Youth Union and Student Association to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and in response to the Year of Youth. 8. Directed the implementation of the plan for the Party branch congresses for the 2011-2013 term (the Party branch of the Faculty of Oriental Studies held its congress; elected 3 Party committee members: Comrade Le Thi Thu Giang, Secretary of the Party branch; Comrade Le Dinh Chinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party branch; and Comrade Vu Thi Thu Huong, Party committee member); conducted technical checks on 249 Party membership cards/270 official Party members of the Party Committee. 9. Considered admitting 28 new Party members (7 staff and 21 students); granted full membership to 5 probationary Party members.

II. Key tasks from May 20th to June 30th, 2011

1. Complete the plan for implementing the resolutions of the 11th National Party Congress and Party Congresses at all levels. Continue to direct the term-based congresses of Party branches. Direct mass organizations and units to develop action programs to implement the resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels. 2. Direct the summary of the 2010-2011 academic year and the development of the 2011-2012 academic year plan. Focus on the preliminary review of the implementation of strategic tasks (16 + 23) in units and at the University level. 3. Direct the successful organization of the end-of-semester II exams and the development of the 2011-2012 academic year timetable; the defense of graduation theses and the awarding of diplomas to K52 students. Review the learning progress of K53 students; 3. Prepare for university admissions in 2011. 4. Direct the completion of the plan to develop four work programs for the University and several projects and scientific research topics for 2012 and the period 2012-2015. 5. Direct the Youth Union and Student Association to prepare and organize the successful implementation of the 2011 summer volunteer program. 6. Develop a plan to inspect the implementation of the Party Congress resolutions at all levels and the development and implementation of action programs of Party branches and mass organizations.
