On the morning of May 26th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities awarded 121 scholarships to ethnic minority students from mountainous regions for the 2010-2011 academic year. The program was implemented by the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Regions (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) in collaboration with sponsoring agencies, organizations, and businesses.121 scholarships, each worth 1,000,000 VND, were awarded to 121 ethnic minority students from mountainous regions studying in various departments of the University. Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son, Vice Rector of the University, thanked the agencies and businesses for their interest and cooperation with the University in contributing to the development of ethnic minority communities in mountainous regions. Established in 2006, the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Regions is gradually building a "Fund for the Development of Education in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Regions" to support teachers, students, and schools in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, contributing to further promoting education in these regions of Vietnam.
