The UniReport journal of the University of Frankfurt (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main), Germany (issue dated October 12, 2012) published a highly positive commentary on the visit and work of Professor Nguyen Van Khanh, the Rector, and expressed expectations for future cooperation and training between the two universities.
The UniReport journal of the University of Frankfurt (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main), Germany (issue dated October 12, 2012) published a highly positive commentary on the visit and work of Professor Nguyen Van Khanh, the Rector, and expressed expectations for future cooperation and training between the two universities.Previously, during his working trip to Europe in July 2012, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh, the Rector, accepted an invitation to visit and work at the University of Frankfurt. During the official meeting, Professor Werner Mueller-Esterl (President of the University of Frankfurt) discussed with Professor Nguyen Van Khanh several possibilities for future cooperation between the two institutions in areas such as organizing scientific conferences, exchanging staff and students, etc. In a professional seminar with Professor Luise Schorn-Schuette (Head of the History Department) and Professor Arndt Graf (Institute of Southeast Asian Studies) of the University of Frankfurt, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh introduced the Master's and Doctoral programs in Vietnamese History under the Strategic Task Project, and expressed his hope that the experts from the University of Frankfurt would support the University in successfully implementing the Project. The University of Frankfurt is one of the German educational institutions that has actively developed relations with Vietnamese educational partners in recent years, especially in promoting the establishment of the Vietnamese-German University in Vietnam. The cooperation between the University of Frankfurt and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was only established two years ago but has already achieved promising progress. Currently, the University of Frankfurt is hosting faculty members for visiting lectures and participating in research projects on history and international relations. The University of Frankfurt currently educates 41,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across 16 faculties (including over 6,500 international students). Since its founding (1914), the University of Frankfurt has been the place of study and research for 16 Nobel Prize-winning scientists… Currently, the University of Frankfurt is ranked among the top 10 excellent teaching and research centers in Germany and among the top 200 universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education rankings in 2012-2013.
