"International Cultural Festival" is an annual event organized by the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. It's an opportunity for students to introduce their country's traditional cultures to friends from other countries, fostering exchange and learning, and strengthening friendships and camaraderie among nations. The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa – Vice Rector, Mr. Nguyen Hong Nguyen – representative of the International Student Services Center, and all lecturers and students of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language. Continuing the tradition, this year's festival was held on December 20th in a vibrant atmosphere welcoming the new year 2013 with many new and exciting activities. The highlight of this year's festival was the opportunity for guests to visit and enjoy the culture and cuisine of various countries: Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Turkey, Mongolia, Poland, Mozambique… at the impressively decorated exhibition booths. In particular, the dishes prepared by Chinese and Mongolian students attracted much attention with their novelty and appeal. The festival was also made more lively and meaningful with the participation of the "Generous Booth" of Laotian students, offering completely free food. Following the camp activities, the evening's cultural exchange program celebrated the New Year with a variety of performances. The "Marabetta" dance by the Mozambique students made a strong impression from the start. The Chinese students delivered a gentle and emotional duet, and the Mongolian students truly brought an explosion of energy with "Nice My Country." Adding to the richness of the event were traditional Vietnamese performances, including the cheo (traditional Vietnamese opera) "Quan Am Thi Kinh," a performance by the Michael family, and the choral rendition of "Noi Vong Tay Lon" (Joining Hands) by students from over 10 countries. This "International Cultural Festival" provided an opportunity for students and international students studying Vietnamese at the department to better understand Vietnamese culture. It also served as a bridge connecting teachers, students, and friends from near and far.
