On December 22, 2012, the Faculty of Management - University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Hue University organized a scientific seminar with the topic "Improving the curriculum and experimental teaching of the subject of Intellectual Property in universities and colleges in the field of educational sciences".
On December 22, 2012, the Faculty of Management - University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Hue University organized a scientific seminar with the topic "Improving the curriculum and experimental teaching of the subject of Intellectual Property in universities and colleges in the field of educational sciences".Attending the discussion were Dr. Pham Phi Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Intellectual Property, Dr. Doan Duc Luong - Head of the Faculty of Law, Hue University; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal of the University and representatives of agencies, universities, colleges; lecturers and students of the Faculty of Management Science. In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim emphasized: To turn Vietnam's intellectual property protection system into a truly effective system, it requires synchronous and comprehensive solutions in many aspects. In particular, developing intellectual property human resources and improving the community's understanding of intellectual property through intellectual property training and education programs at universities and colleges in Vietnam are extremely important. This scientific discussion contributes to improving the effectiveness of intellectual property training in universities and colleges in Vietnam. Especially in the era of industrialization and the explosion of information technology, the issue of intellectual property and intellectual property rights is becoming more important than ever. In his report to the discussion, Dr. Doan Duc Luong (Head of the Faculty of Law - Hue University) affirmed: building programs, compiling documents on the subject of Intellectual Property and putting them into teaching in universities and colleges is really necessary, in order to raise awareness of a team of civil servants and public employees in the future, contributing to the implementation of state management by law on copyright and related rights in Vietnam. Referring to the issue of protecting intellectual property rights for scientific research results in universities and colleges in the field of educational sciences, Dr. Tran Van Hai (Head of the Faculty of Management Sciences - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) said: Intellectual property assets created in the process of scientific research of universities and colleges in the field of educational sciences are protected by intellectual property rights. The discussion then focused on the outline of the intellectual property subject in universities and colleges in the field of educational science. The legal basis for building the program and compiling teaching materials on intellectual property in general and copyright in particular is based on Article 84 of the Intellectual Property Law 2005 and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Intellectual Property Law 2009.
