During the meeting, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the history of training and research at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, highlighting its status as a leading institution for social sciences and humanities education in Vietnam. The university currently has 13,000 students across all programs, over 700 faculty and staff members, and international relations with over 200 universities worldwide. Among the university's partners, the Rector affirmed that Japan remains a crucial partner in the university's international cooperation development strategy.

Professor Yumi Kawahata welcomed the University's invitation and proposed that the two universities soon sign a memorandum of cooperation at the university level, with the aim of implementing formal collaborative activities. The main activities in the cooperation between the two sides will be student exchange and the organization of joint training programs. Specifically, each year there will be approximately 2-3 Vietnamese and Japanese students exchanged between the two universities. The Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language and the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will be the liaison for cooperation between the two sides. Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh pledged to create the best conditions and provide the best support for Japanese students studying at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
