Mr. Hadi Soleimanpour expressed his personal goodwill and affection, as well as that of the Iranian people, towards Vietnam and its people. He highly appreciated the close relationship between the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vietnam and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as the activities that the two sides have jointly organized. However, in his capacity as Director of the Center for International Studies and Education (CIER) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hadi Soleimanpour believes that cooperation, especially in the fields of education and research, is still not commensurate with the potential of both sides.
Agreeing with the observations and ideas of Mr. Hadi Soleimanpour, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh proposed several specific areas of cooperation, including organizing scientific conferences, exchanging lecturers and students, and establishing research centers on language and culture in each country. The Rector affirmed that these would be fundamental steps to help Vietnam and Iran move towards closer relations in other fields.
Agreeing with and appreciating these proposals, Ambassador Hossein Alvandi Behineh and Deputy Minister Hadi Soleimanpour jointly requested CIER and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to reach a cooperation agreement (MoU) as soon as possible while Mr. Hadi Soleimanpour is still in Vietnam.
