Mr. Hadi Soleimanpour expressed his goodwill and affection as well as that of the Iranian people towards the country and people of Vietnam. He highly appreciated the close relationship between the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vietnam and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the activities that the two sides have jointly organized. However, as the Director of the Center for International Education and Research (CIER) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hadi Soleimanpour said that cooperation, first of all in the fields of education and research, is still not commensurate with the potential of the two sides.
Agreeing with the comments and ideas of Mr. Hadi Soleimanpour, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh proposed some specific cooperation contents such as: organizing scientific seminars, exchanging lecturers and students, as well as establishing research centers on languages and cultures in each country. The Rector affirmed that these will be the basic steps to help Vietnam and Iran move towards closer relations in other fields.
Agreeing and appreciating these proposals, Ambassador Hossein Alvandi Behineh and Deputy Minister Hadi Soleimanpour proposed that CIER and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities soon reach a cooperation agreement (MoU) while Mr. Hadi Soleimanpour is still in Vietnam.
