Attending the film screening were Mr. Cherif Chikhi - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic and People's Republic of Algeria, officials of the Vietnam - Algeria Friendship Association, lecturers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.
Set in the Algerian War of Independence under French colonial rule, the film “The Algerian War” brought nearly 500 students of the School’s History Department many perspectives on the historical war of the heroic country of Algeria. The film is a meaningful gift to the young generation of Vietnam. Through this, it also strengthens the relationship between the young generation of the School and the country of Algeria.
"The Algerian War" is a typical film of Algeria. The film won the Golden Lion at the 1966 Venice Film Festival, the International Critics Association Award, and the Venice City Award.
