Film screening commemorating the 60th National Day of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

Attending the film screening were Mr. Cherif Chikhi – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, officials of the Vietnam-Algeria Friendship Association, lecturers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Set against the backdrop of Algeria's war for independence under French colonial rule, the film "The Algerian War" offered nearly 500 history students at the university various perspectives on the historical struggle of heroic Algeria. The film is a meaningful gift for the young generation of Vietnam, and it also strengthens the bond between the university's youth and the nation of Algeria.

"The Algerian War" is a quintessential Algerian film. It won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 1966, the International Critics' Association Award, and the Venice City Award.
