During the reception, Professor Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasizing its internationalization strategy and strengthening international relations. The university has established cooperative relationships with over 400 partners, including Korean universities such as Seoul National University, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Busan University of Foreign Studies, and Hanyang University. The Faculty of Oriental Studies is also one of the leading institutions for Korean studies in Vietnam. The Rector expressed hope that, following the signing of the memorandum of understanding, the two sides could implement cooperative activities in many areas.

On behalf of the Korean side, Dr. Jisang Yoo (President of Kwangwoon University) expressed his pleasure at visiting a prestigious educational institution in Vietnam like the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He stated that, given the increasing trend of Korean universities sending students to study in Vietnam, Kwangwoon University is no exception. In the context of the positive developments in Vietnam-Korea relations, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Kwangwoon University have even more opportunities to promote practical cooperation.
Following this, representatives from both sides signed a memorandum of cooperation. Accordingly, the two universities committed to: exchanging staff, faculty, and students; exchanging learning materials and research documents; carrying out joint research projects; establishing academic-industrial collaboration and cooperation; and promoting and encouraging other priority areas.

Kwangwoon University, established in 1934, is a highly ranked and reputable educational institution in South Korea. Currently, it has over 10,000 students enrolled. It is also one of the top four universities in Seoul offering excellent Korean language programs for international students. Kwangwoon University comprises eight constituent colleges: the College of Electronics and Information Engineering, the College of Engineering, the College of Natural Sciences, the College of Social Sciences, the College of Law and Public Policy, the College of Business, the College of North Asia, and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.
