Meeting between the two Universities of Social Sciences and Humanities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

From July 17-19, the inter-university conference between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and the scientific seminar "University Governance in the Context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution" took place in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.

To begin, Professor Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered the opening speech. Following that, Associate Professor Ngo Thi Phuong Lan, Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, welcomed all delegates from both universities to this liaison conference, acknowledging their contributions and congratulating them on the cooperation and collaboration between the two universities over the past years.

Delving deeper into the conference content, leaders and representatives from both universities presented reports, discussions, and research papers revolving around cooperation and university governance in the era of integration. In particular, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Rector of the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, presented a "Comprehensive Report on Cooperation Activities between the Two Universities in 2018-2019," clearly demonstrating a commitment to sustainable cooperation, sharing experiences, and mutual development.

Continuing the program, Dr. Tran Anh Tien - Head of the Science Management & Project Development Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City - presented his views on the issue of "Serving the community through local cooperation programs" - an activity that draws on models from advanced countries around the world to connect local communities with scientific and service activities. This activity benefits the community, creates practical opportunities for scientists, and guides the sustainable development of service industries.

After the break, Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam, Head of the Training Department at the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, presented a report on "Innovation in the University's Teaching Activities" and highlighted global integration trends in teaching and training. Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam affirmed that lecturers need to innovate themselves, improve their skills, and diversify their methods to enhance the effectiveness and quality of teaching at the university.

Mr. Tran Nam, Head of the Communications & Corporate Relations Department at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, also shared more in-depth information on the topic "Connecting Universities and Businesses: A Sustainable Development Strategy for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City". Mr. Tran Nam presented on the importance of connecting universities and businesses, the practical benefits that both bring to students during their training, and demonstrated that the collaboration between businesses and universities is a trend in integration, leading students to a more practical and optimal form of education.

The report on "Experiences in International Publication" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Luan - Head of the Research Management Department of the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities - concluded the conference's discussion session with practical insights and key considerations regarding international publication. Furthermore, he affirmed the importance of international publication for the university's position and development direction in the process of international integration.

The discussion between the two universities, moderated by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Chairman of the Science and Training Council, Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen - Former Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, was lively with questions and heartfelt sharing from representatives of both universities regarding cooperation, management and teaching experiences, as well as future directions for international integration.

To affirm the sustainable cooperation between the two universities, a formal signing ceremony took place between the Science and Tourism Services Company Limited (TASS) of the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities (represented by Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy) and the Van Khoa Science and Tourism Services Company Limited (VASST) of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities (represented by Dr. Tran Anh Tien), witnessed by leaders and representatives from both universities. This event marks an important milestone in the process of cooperation, connection, and mutual promotion of sustainable development between the two universities in the future.

The conference and scientific seminar program between the two universities concluded with an exploration trip to Ha Long Bay and Van Don island district, organized and implemented by the Science and Tourism Services Company Limited (TASS), as a starting point for experiencing and recognizing the cooperation between the two sides.
