Training the local Self-Defense Force is a key task, organized annually, and involves close coordination and cooperation between the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Natural Sciences within the Hanoi National University system. Vice Rector Nguyen Van Kim emphasized the importance of this activity in maintaining security and order within the two universities, and more broadly, the district and the city. The local Self-Defense Force is a core force in safeguarding and protecting the nation against hostile forces, while also identifying new developments in detecting, preventing, and combating reactionary forces. This fosters confidence and ignites the fighting spirit of individuals and groups within the two universities.

Soldier Phung Chi Kien, on behalf of the Self-Defense Force soldiers, read the oath.
Professor Nguyen Van Kim hopes that the soldiers will strictly adhere to the organization's regulations, successfully complete the training programs, confidently participate in and achieve high results in the sports competition scheduled to be held in September 2019, as well as the sports competition of the Hanoi Capital Command in October 2019.
