Awarding the Chung Soo Scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year.

On November 4, 2013, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the Chung Soo Scholarship Award Ceremony for the 2013-2014 academic year. Attendees included Mr. Shin Sung Oh (Member of the Board of Directors of the Chung Soo Scholarship Fund), Mr. Lee Munquy (Head of the General Affairs Department of the Chung Soo Scholarship Fund), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities).

On behalf of the university's leadership, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim expressed gratitude to the Chung Soo Foundation for choosing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as the first institution in Vietnam to award scholarships to its students, encouraging them in their studies and personal development. Over the past seven years, the Chung Soo scholarship has helped hundreds of students overcome difficulties and realize their dreams. The Vice Rector also noted that this activity is even more significant in the context of the positive results of Vietnam-Korea cooperation; the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also on the path to internationalizing its fields of activity, with one of its priorities being training and research in regional studies, including Korean studies.

Following this, Mr. Shin Sung Oh delivered a speech affirming the Foundation's goal of supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds who strive to excel in their studies. The representative of the Chung Soo Foundation also expressed hope that scholarship recipients would understand and embrace the meaning and spirit of the scholarship, encouraging them to always strive and contribute to the development of society and the community in the future, as well as fostering friendly relations between the two countries.

In the 2013-2014 academic year, 80 students received the Chung Soo Scholarship, coming from the following departments: Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Faculty of Tourism Studies, Faculty of History, Faculty of Oriental Studies, etc.
