Professor, People's Teacher Phan Dai DoanBorn on November 16, 1936, in Dien Quang, Dien Chau, Nghe An; a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, recipient of the Second Class Resistance Medal, the Second Class Labor Medal, and the State Award for Science and Technology; former Head of the Department of Ancient and Medieval Vietnamese History, Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; passed away at 7:45 AM on August 7, 2019 (July 7, Year of the Pig) due to old age and infirmity; he was 84 years old.

The viewing ceremony will take place from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM; the memorial service will be held from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM on August 10, 2019 (corresponding to the 10th day of the 7th lunar month of the Year of the Pig) at Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.
Cremation took place at the Hoan Vu Crematorium in Hanoi on the same day.
